Lego Star Wars, 12 year-old wins nationwide competition in Star Wars: The Clone Wars magazine. Brighton-based Phoenix Rist-Woolven was one of over 150 entries and fought off the competition with his collection of Lego models and wowed staff with his allegiance to the brand.

“This was the first competition I’ve ever entered,” said Rist-Woolven. “I feel so lucky to have been picked and was completely speechless when Lego contacted me.”

Justin Clasby, brand manager, Lego Star Wars UK, commented: “We were overwhelmed by the amount of entries we received for this competition and some of the entrants’ collections and creations were just phenomenal.

“It was extremely difficult to select a winner but Phoenix clearly stood out as someone who lived and breathed the Lego Star Wars universe.”

Now of ‘semi-professional’ Lego building status, Rist-Woolven made model magic when he was rewarded with a once in a lifetime Star Wars prize on Saturday. As the worthy winner he got the opportunity to lay the last Lego brick at the new Star Wars Miniland Experience and meet the model makers behind the build.
