Legend Of Zelda: Skyward Sword, There are a lot of new titles out today, but arguably the standout game this week is The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword.

We’ve been massively excited for the new entry in the series since its announcement in June last year. It’s finally here now and we’ve been thrilled to see it receive such glowing praise from seemingly every corner of the internet. With at least 15 perfect 100% scores, seven scores above 95 and ten scores above 90. Very impressive indeed.

“We’ll say it upfront: Skyward Sword is the best Zelda game ever made.” Official Nintendo Magazine’s review reads, “It’s an absolute masterpiece from start to finish and a contender for the crown of best game on Wii.”

These sentiments are echoed around the web.
IGN loved the game so much it described Skyward Sword as “The greatest Zelda game ever created. It’s the best game for Wii and one of the finest video game accomplishments of the past 10 years.”

We scored the game 9.8/10, and in our Skyward Sword review we said: “A huge departure for Zelda and a proper arrival for Wii’s motion controls. Link’s latest is rule-breaking, dream-weaving, tech-loving, heart-soaring stuff. If it Wii’s last hurrah, they don’t come more impassioned than this.”

Not all critics were as impressed though. “The formula is beginning to show its age,” states Gamespot’s review. “There just aren’t enough new ideas to separate Skyward Sword from its predecessors, and the few additions come with mixed results. Even with many bright spots, Skyward Sword still feels like a nostalgic retread.”
