Leann Rimes Surgery, “K, coming clean….I had minor surgery this week and I’ve been in SO much pain it’s not even funny,” Rimes Tweeted on February 5. “Nothing major just annoying! Pain pain go away!!!!!! When it’s mouth pain and jaw pain it makes your whole head pound! YUCK.”

The 29-year-old Grammy-winning country singer clarified that the surgery was for medical purposes. And though she received medication, “nada” was taking the pain away, but recovering at her beach house in Malibu seemed to help.

“The pain is subsiding finally for a moment. My head has been vibrating all day. Maybe the sand under my feet is helping,” Rimes Tweeted later in the day.

Rimes’ reps told E! News that the surgery was to correct the singer’s TMJ.

Aside from suffering from what she called “chipmunk cheeks,” Rimes seemed to be in good spirits. After one fan wished her luck with her “facial surgery,” she responded, “facial surgery lol that makes it sound like I got work done. You are gonna start some rumors.”

Rimes has been open about her plastic surgery after undergoing breast enhancement surgery in December 2010. She has made headlines over the past year for her weight loss.

Rimes married actor Eddie Cibrian, who starred in the short-lived NBC series “The Play boy Cub,” in April 2011. Weeks after their wedding, Rimes posted photos of herself in bikinis and raised concern among many that she may have lost too much weight.

Rimes has often defended her body and diet, especially on her Twitter account, which she often updates several times an hour and uses to chat with fans and critics.

Rimes and Cibrian opened up about the subject of bullying at the Trevor Project’s annual benefit “Trevor Live” in Los Angeles in December. The group, which leads in suicide prevention efforts among gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgendered youths, has garnered much support from the Hollywood community.
