Nir Rosen, While the world reels under the impact of sexual assault CBS reporter Lara Logan in Egypt, another American journalist is causing a different kind of outrage, calling Logan a “warmonger” who was simply trying Anderson Cooper to excel. Nir Rosen, an NYU boy who has extensively covered the war in Iraq, made the remarks during a diatribe insensitive twitter Tuesday. He has since resigned from the University Center of Law and Security. “Lara Logan had to beat Anderson,” Rosen tweeted, referring to the CNN correspondent, who was hit in the head multiple times while covering the recent demonstrations in Egypt. Rosen added, insisting that it would be funny if Anderson had also been sexually assaulted. Apologies Dubai.

Nir Rosen: “I Feel Like Shrinking Now ‘ Thank you for giving me the opportunity to explain myself, or to be issued at least once over a public apology to Ms. Logan, her family, friends and all women. 60 Minutes correspondent covered the Egyptian revolt Tahrir Square at great personal risk. Hosni Mubarak the day triggered the camels of Crackdown, and foreign journalists were attacked by supporters of the regime, she was detained by Egyptian security forces and forced to live “a painful night being kept blindfolded and forced into a position of stress, “according to NY Daily News report. (Hey, Senator from Illinois Dick Durbin against Egyptian security forces to Nazis again, he describes how U.S. soldiers in Guantanamo?)

She was still in Tahrir Square to cover the jubilant celebration after Mubarak resigned. According to a statement from CBS News, she was surrounded by “a crowd of more than 200 people whipped into a frenzy” and “victim of a brutal attack and sustained sexual and beaten before being rescued by a group of women and about 20 Egyptian soldiers. “She is now backing in the United States, at home with her husband and two children, recovering from her injuries.

Logan horrifying experience and incomparable courage has not impressed Nir Rosen, a leftist journalist and member of the NYU Center on Law and Security. Using Twitter, a loaded gun placed in the hands of idiots in the world, he described her sexual assault as an attempt to “outdo Anderson” – a reference to Anderson Cooper of CNN, who was beaten the head during the recent upsurge of violence against journalists. Much later, acknowledging that “it is bad what happened to him,” and “I do not support that, he thought he” would have been funny if what happened to Anderson too. “He rejected the brutal sexual assault on Mount Logan, saying” it was probably in the dark like thousands of other women. ”
Allow me a little moral guidance for those who are confused: People do not realize their humanity when they take contrary opinions. Rape and assault are heinous crimes to be condemned without reservation, without hesitation, regardless of who is the victim, or what she does for a living. There is nothing “comforting” or “funny” about it. If you think it is, and you’re ready to spend your time explaining your warm heart and tickle funny bones for the rest of us, it’s time for you to step back from the keyboard for a while and believes that the danger to your own humanity.
