Kylie Minogue, “I love 1,033,861 of you LOVERS, but 1 is not a lover, just a deluded weirdo making threats #andthatdoesnotmakeyouspecial SO..police alerted,” the 43-year-old Australian pop star Tweeted on Monday, referring to the number of her Twitter followers, which has since grown to more than 1.04 million.

Minogue, a Grammy winner, is known for hits such as “Can’t Get You Out Of My Head,” “Love at First Sight” and “Come Into My World.” This isn’t the first time she has had to deal with stalkers. In 2003, she received more than 700 letters, including several of a threatening nature, from a person in England. The year before, she revealed a fan had stalked her for five years, according to CNN.

In 2010, a former UK postman named Mark Taylor was busted by police for sending lewd letters to Minogue as well as to celebrities such as Jennifer Aniston and British singer Lily Allen, according to The Daily Mail. He was issued a restraining order and was banned from contacting them.

Minogue is one of the most popular female pop stars in the world and wrapped up a North American tour in May 2011 with a sold-out performance in Las Vegas. She began her career in the 1980s and also starred in the Australian soap opera “Neighbors” before nabbing roles in Hollywood films such as “Bio-Dome,” alongside then-boyfriend Pauly Shore, and the 2001 musical “Moulin Rouge.”
