Kobe Bryant Concussion

February 29, 2012 by · Comments Off on Kobe Bryant Concussion

Kobe Bryant Concussion, This much was known as the Los Angeles Lakers reassembled after the All-Star break: Kobe Bryant sustained a concussion and might not play Wednesday against Minnesota, Andrew Bynum’s knee wasn’t quite 100 percent and Pau Gasol was still a member of the team . . . for now.

Not exactly the scent of a championship season. First things first: A new NBA policy could prevent Bryant from playing Wednesday after a neurologist diagnosed him Tuesday with a concussion from a hard foul by Miami guard Dwyane Wade in Sunday’s All-Star game.

According to the concussion policy the league implemented this season, a player must be symptom-free for 24 hours and then complete a series of steps to confirm he is healthy enough for competition. Physical exertion increases at each stage, from a stationary bike, to jogging, to agility work, to noncontact drills. If Bryant didn’t experience symptoms after each stage, there would be consultation with the neurologist in charge of the NBA’s concussion program before he was cleared to play.

Bryant went to see neurologist Vern Williams on Tuesday afternoon after disclosing unspecified symptoms, according to a Lakers spokesman. Earlier in the day, an ear, nose and throat specialist confirmed Bryant had a broken nose.

That Bryant never stopped playing after sustaining such injuries in a game sponsored by the NBA could become a flash point of debate if Bryant couldn’t play Wednesday . . . or even if he could.

Concussion symptoms include lack of focus, fatigue and irritability but a full recovery is typical, said Dr. Ken Nazari, a neurologist at Centinela Hospital Medical Center in Inglewood. Nazari was speaking generally and did not know the details of Bryant’s symptoms.

Kobe Bryant Nickname Black Mamba

Kobe Bryant Nickname Black Mamba, People are ready to anoint LeBron James the best player in the NBA but the crown remains on the head of Kobe Bryant. His 2010 statistics are comparable to James’ so there’s an argument there. It’s becomes no contest when you look at their mentalities. Kobe approaches the basketball court like a battlefield. LeBron uses it as a dance floor.

Bryant recently gave kids and parents at his basketball camp some insight as to how he approaches the game and life. The campers were allowed to submit questions for Kobe to answer and one of the kids asked how the Black Mamba became Kobe’s nickname. Bryant’s answer reaches a place that LeBron James will never, ever reach.

“I won’t encourage you to be like me. I’m a thrill-seeker. So I love sharks. I love Black Mambas. I love King Cobras. I love stuff that can really kind of do you bodily harm.”

That’s a cold statement. LeBron isn’t wired that way, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing, but when vying for the title of “Best Player in the League” you need that Great White/Black Mamba/King Cobra mindset. James can continue to be the regular-season, statistical MVP candidate year in and year out. If he wants to be one of the league’s greatest players and competitors he needs to add some predator to his personality.

Basketball Wives Vanessa Bryant, Vanessa Bryant gets three mansions in her divorce from Kobe Bryant plus an additional $75 million if a prenuptial agreement was not signed – what offer can VH1’s Basketball Wives franchise offer to top that?!

Because of Kobe Bryant’s failed attempt to stop his divorce amid numerous affairs, his soon-to-be ex-wife is now open to a fruitful deal with the VH1 franchise.

According to TMZ, producers are putting together an “extremely lucrative pitch” for Vanessa to join the cast of the Los Angeles spin-off of the highly successful reality show. “Vanessa has more than enough storyline and would bring the show to another level.” Because of the show’s popularity producers are hoping that their profitable pitch will make for an appealing case for Vanessa – who ironically learned of Kobe’s cheating through the real basketball wives.

This isn’t the first time VH1 has considered adding Vanessa to the cast but Bryant was understandably not receptive to the idea during her marriage to Kobe. There’s no doubt that Vanessa has a built in story and ratings would shoot through the roof – but what’s in it for her?

Vanessa’s three mansions in her property settlement are worth an estimated $18.8 million, unless if she’s looking for another baller husband – we fail to see the upside.

Steve Blake, Steve Blake turns out that his instinct was more than enough, as it recorded nine assists per game, February 17, 2009, the loss of the Atlanta Hawks 110-92. The performance gave a first indication that there was no such thing as an adjustment period for Blake. Our first game together, found three balloons me, “said Clippers’ backup center DeAndre Jordan.” I had not practiced together.Still yet, Blake has had some setbacks, including some passes early, eight of the 27 clips in the first five exhibition games this week and feel so much with cold symptoms.

Sounds similar to the acclimation of Blake with the Lakers after joining them this season as a free agent and make a four-year agreement $ 16 million. He immediately impressed the Lakers enough in the first team in practices in their understanding of the triangle offense. Since then, coach Phil Jackson and his colleagues welcomed the backup as the basis for his vision of the court and the instant chemistry with his teammates, two variables that will instantly improve the Lakers bench has been a little high season.Personally bottom, “Blake said after scoring 10 points in four of seven shots Tuesday at the pre-season loss to the Lakers 82-74 Utah.

I do. So it was a bit up and down. I think you expect from a new computer with a new system and new players.
