Kevin-Prince Boateng, Kevin-Prince Boateng has given AC Milan’s Champions League hopes a huge boost by revealing that he is ready to make his return from injury in Wednesday’s last 16 first-leg clash with Arsenal.
The 24-year-old has been out of action since suffering a muscular problem in last month’s derby loss to Inter, but he returned to full training earlier this week and confirmed on his official Twitter account just hours before kick-off at San Siro that he will feature against the Gunners.

“I’m ready for the game tonight and I will give my best …forza Milan!” Boateng wrote.

The availability of the versatile attacking midfield is a major plus for coach Massimiliano Allegri, who goes into the game short of the services of Gennaro Gattuso, Alberto Aquilani and Alexander Merkel, among others.

Brazilian forward Alexandre Pato and Italian defender Alessandro Nesta also resumed training alongside Boateng this week after recovering from their respective ailments but it has not yet been confirmed if the pair are fit to feature against Arsenal.
