Cereal Recall:Leave your cereal spoons, everything that Apple Jacks ®, Kellogg’s, Corn Pops ®, Froot Loops ®, and lovers of honey Smacks ®. Kellogg Company has voluntarily recalled certain boxes of four popular breakfast cereals because there is no substance in the white shirts of aluminum foil package that can “produce a distinctive wax-and off-taste and smell,” according to a statement release of the company.

Kellogg Company is working with the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) in the implementation of the withdrawal. These four are the only cereal Kellogg’s products in this recall, cereals and distributed across the United States. All retailers are being notified of the situation.

said that, although the potential for serious health problems associated with the packaging is low, some people are sensitive to unusual taste and odor and are advised not to eat cereals recalled because they may experience temporary symptoms, as diarrhea and nausea. Any consumer who is concerned about health risks should contact their healthcare provider.

David Mackay, president and CEO of Kellogg Company, said the press release from the company that “We apologize to our consumers and our customers and we work diligently to ensure that products are quickly removed from the market.” Consumers with any questions or looking for a replacement product may contact the Consumer Response Center in Kellogg, at 888-801-4163 between 8 am and 8 pm ET.

In July 2008, Kellogg Company recalled a limited number of buds All-Bran Bran (17.7 oz), and the cereal could have contained fragments of metal. Only a batch code that was and no injuries were reported.

A complete list of Kellogg’s cereals with toys, with their package sizes, the numbers of the UPC, and best if used by dates can be found on the website of Kellogg Consumer Alert. The company stresses that the products only with the letters ‘KN’ after the best if used before date included in the recall, involving 28 million boxes.
