Katy Perry Tim Tebow, Katy Perry was scoring points with hunky Denver Broncos player Tim Tebow this Super Bowl weekend.

The pop star took the stage at DIRECTV’s Super Saturday pre-Super Bowl party for her first post-split performance, where she made it abundantly clear that she has moved on from her 14-month marriage to Russell Brand. According to E! Online, Perry dedicated her performance of “Peacock” to the NFL star — and with lyrics like “I wanna see your peacock” let’s hope that Perry and Tebow’s ultra-religious parental units were out of earshot.

Tebow wasn’t actually playing in the Super Bowl, but that didn’t keep Perry from talking about Tebow all weekend. E! Online reports Perry name-checked the star player during the NFL Honors ceremony on Saturday, where she presented an award to Carolina Panthers quarterback, Cam Newton. Perry reportedly took the opportunity to give Tebow a message. (He was was sitting in the front row.) “Hey Tim,” she said, “my parents say hi.”

This isn’t the first time that the songstress has been linked to the religious footballer. Perry’s parents are Christian ministers like Tebow’s, and according to reports, they’ve hand-picked the athlete as a possible Russell Brand rebound.

As if that weren’t enough Tebowing for one night, E! Online reports that Perry also happened to have a hotel suite next door to her new crush.
