It is the latest change to Good Morning America Diane Sawyer from left to become the anchor of World News.

Snow joins the network as a correspondent for Dateline and “contribute to the magazine and other property of NBC News,” the statement said.

This is a great day for NBC News, “President Steve Capus said in the statement.” Kate is a very talented journalist and respected. This means increasing our commitment to “Dateline” as it continues its success in primetime, and our belief in investing in the future talent of NBC News.

Since the departure of Sawyer, George Stephanopoulos came to take his paper and the news anchor Chris Cuomo left to take a job in the 20/20 and become Chief of the Law and Justice Correspondent. His role was taken by Juju Chang – but then looked like snow in contention for that. TVNewser tweeted Snow “was on ABC’s contract after failing to GMA weekday concert, and was quickly picked up by NBC.

She is a high profile name in news coverage, whose current role is different than the work in the morning show sounds like she was looking for. But the role of NBC News allows it to expand to other areas – mostly on cable, MSNBC.

Kate Snow will join NBC News as a correspondent for “Dateline.” From later this spring which will support the magazine and other property of NBC News. The announcement was made today by NBC News President Steve Capus.

“This is a great day for NBC News,” Capus said. “Kate is a very talented journalist and respected. This means increasing our commitment to” Dateline “as it continues its success in primetime, and our belief in investing in the future talent of NBC News.”

” ‘Dateline’ has enjoyed a great period of success and now we are even more fortunate to be welcoming Kate to our team,” said executive producer David Corvo. “She’s the whole package. You can cover breaking news, you can interview, she can write, and I’m happy to be doing everything in ‘Dateline'”.

Previously, Snow was the anchor of the weekend edition of “Good Morning America” since the program launched in September 2004. In the ABC News headquarters in New York, also contributed to several broadcasts of ABC News correspondent, often information from “Good Morning America,” World News with Diane Sawyer “and” Nightline “.

A political junkie with a deep interest in world events, snow covered a wide range of items for ABC News. It was one of the first ABC News correspondents on the ground in Haiti following the devastating earthquake there and all covered with search and rescue of the incredible stories of survival.

Before his appointment in Washington, Snow is based in Atlanta with CNN Newsource. In that role, he covered the conflict in Kosovo from Albania and Macedonia.

Snow began his career as a news reporter with KOAT-TV in Albuquerque, New Mexico, where she also anchored the station’s morning weekend show. He has also worked for National Public Radio and NBC Radio.

Snow was part of team coverage from ABC News to be recognized with the award distinguished duPont Columbia University for his coverage of the death of Pope John Paul II in April 2005. She is also the recipient of the Alumni Achievement Award from Cornell University.

Snow is a graduate of Cornell University and an MBA in foreign service from Georgetown University. She serves on the national board of Big Brothers Big Sisters of America. Snow and her husband, Chris Bro, have two children.
