Kanye West Birthplace: Atlanta

Kanye West Birthplace: Atlanta, Kanye Omari West ( born June 8, 1977) is an American rapper, singer, and record producer. West first rose to fame as a producer for Roc-A-Fella Records, where he eventually achieved recognition for his work on Jay-Z’s album The Blueprint, as well as hit singles for musical artists including Alicia Keys, Ludacris, and Janet Jackson.

His style of production originally used pitched-up vocal samples from soul songs incorporated with his own drums and instruments. However, subsequent productions saw him broadening his musical palette and expressing influences encompassing ’70s R&B, baroque pop, trip hop, arena rock, folk, alternative, electronica, synthpop, and classical music.

Kanye West was born in Atlanta, Georgia, where he lived with his parents. When he was three years old, his parents divorced, and he and his mother moved to Chicago, Illinois. His father was Ray West, a former Black Panther who was one of the first black photojournalists at The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, and is now a Christian counselor.

West’s mother, Dr. Donda West, was a Professor of English at Clark Atlanta University, and the Chair of the English Department at Chicago State University before retiring to serve as West’s manager. He was raised in a middle-class background, attending Polaris High School in suburban Oak Lawn, Illinois after living in Chicago. When asked about his grades in high school, West replied, “I got A’s and B’s. And I’m not even frontin'”.

Kanye West Twitter

Kanye West TwitterKanye West Twitter, Kanye West’s Twitter Rant Needs More Serious Attention. You Know? For The Future? So, about that Kanye West Twitter rant. After taking to the tweets to debunk rumors that @DWbyKanye was an official handle of his fashion line, Kanye decided he wasn’t done yet. For well over two hours, Yeezy’s followers were privy to a pseudo-autobiographical account of his past decade or so including the financial state of his line, the reasoning behind some of his most infamous career moves and, at times, nothing at all. Too bad he didn’t address those pesky Kim Kardashian rumors. ANYWAY, all those other sites out there have really been yucking it up today and TOTALLY disrespecting the good things that the rant stands for.

SportsOlogy’s Bison Messink, for one, thinks it’s about time we all stand up, reach out and listen up to what Kanye has to say.

The world is pretty much falling apart, right before our eyes, and it’s going to take some really amazing people doing some really amazing things to get us back on the right track. Kanye West is one of the most influential and inspirational men of the 2000’s and now he’s announced last night that he is putting together a team which is going to totally redesign the way we do pretty much everything.

He made the announcement on the new media platform Twitter, and I admit that I don’t really know how Twitter works, but I guess it’s pretty much the thing that all the most creative people are using.

“I am assembling a team of architects, graphic designers, directors musicians, producers, AnRs, writers, publicist, social media experts… app guys, managers, car designers, clothing designers, DJs, video game designers, publishers, tech guys, lawyers, bankers, nutritionist … doctors, scientist, teachers… DONDA will be comprised of over 22 divisions with a goal to make products and experiences that people want and can afford.”

Pretty much? It’s going to be a meeting of the best minds in the whole world, except that the meeting will never end, it will just keep going on forever, on into the future, which will be really great because of what DONDA is doing.

“I want to put creatives in a room together with like minds that are all waaaay doper than me,” Kanye says. Ha! Like anyone can be doper than Kanye!

If you don’t know much about Kanye West, you’re going to start hearing a lot more about him because this DONDA thing is pretty much going to be the biggest thing there is.

Mostly, he’s a clothing and fashion designer, and I know you’re probably thinking, why should I listen to a clothes designer? Well, if you think about it, clothes are pretty much the most important thing, because otherwise we’d either be really cold or really sun burnt almost all of the time. Kanye has been in fashion pretty much forever, and even turned down some really great opportunities so he could just follow his passions.

He has worked all the fashion circuits in Japan and Paris and even worked undercover in Rome. In Paris the language barrier was really hard to overcome, and also VAT numbers, whatever they are. Ha! He was even visited by Azzedine Alaia in his Paris studio in a courtyard opposite Collate. It’s really amazing, when you think about it, that he did all that when before he was just shopping with his Mom at discount fur stores. But everyone has to start somewhere, you guys!

But another thing? Sometimes it’s hard to be really creative when you’re really famous. West has found this out the hard way, like just the other day when he was at a meeting and someone suggested that he do a Jetsons-themed musical tour. Stupid! That’s the worst idea. Really insulting. It’s like, yeah, he has all these grammy’s and everything – and that’s totally great – but Kanye put it best when he said, “What good is fame and prestige if you can’t use it to help people… I want to help by doing what I know how to do best .. create.”

Kanye West Birthday

Kanye West Birthday, Jay-Z and Kanye West raked in a hefty sum to perform at the 16th birthday party of an Arab billionaire’s daughter just weeks before Christmas. According to British-based daily tabloid the Sun, the ‘WTT’ creators were flown to Dubai to perform at a party and paid $6 million to sing several sets.

The fan West and Hov performed for is a member of the ruling family of Abu Dhabi and related to the president of the United Arab Emirates. The Sun reports that her brother is Sheikh Mansour a UAE politician and oil tycoon who owns the Machester City Football Club, although he’s probably better known in the UAE as the country’s Deputy Prime Minister.

Mansour, who has been reported to have President Obama on speed dial, apparently fronted the fee for the two rappers’ sweet sixteen performance. The Grammy nominated collaborators held nothing back for the show and played work from ‘Watch the Throne’ as well as their own solo tracks.

West announced that he is currently looking to perform on New Year’s Eve, but as a DJ. The rapper, who has adopted the moniker ‘Yeezy World Peace,’ took to twitter in the hope of getting a booking to ring in 2012 and recently displayed his DJ skills in London where he played unreleased tracks from the upcoming G.O.O.D. Music compilation.
