Bjork Airport AttackBjork Airport Attack, Icelandic singer Bjork has been accused of attacking a photographer at an airport in New Zealand. The accusation comes 12 years after the pop star was filmed wildly lashing out at a journalist at an airport in Thailand.

The latest incident apparently happened shortly after the Play Dead singer arrived at Auckland International Airport ahead of a performance at the Big Day Out concert on Friday.

She allegedly tore New Zealand Herald photographer Glenn Jeffrey’s shirt in half after he took a photo of her.

Jeffrey, a news photographer for 25 years, said Bjork was accompanied by a man who asked him not take photos.

He told the New Zealand Press Association: “I took a couple of pictures. And as I turned and walked away she came up behind me, grabbed the back of my black skivvy and tore it.

“As she did this she fell over, she fell to the ground.

“At no stage did I touch her or speak with her.”

The photographer said that Bjork said nothing during the incident, but her male companion was saying: “B, don’t do this, B, don’t do this.”

Jeffrey said he spoke with Auckland police about the incident.

A spokeswoman for Auckland International Airport said staff would review video footage of the arrival area where the incident occurred if police requested it.

The former Sugarcubes singer was involved in a highly publicised altercation with a TV reporter at an airport in Thailand after a long-haul flight in 1996.

Bjork, whose hits include Human Behaviour, Venus As A Boy and Big Time Sensuality has become famous for her off-the-wall performances and appearance.
