Boccieri,Lady GagaBoccieri: CCN — Here’s a quick glance at the collective consciousness of the Web on Friday:

Lady Gaga: Gaga just can’t stay out of the news, even when it’s not her choice. The pop star is a topic of conversation today not because of her infamous outfits, which sometimes include soda cans in her hair, or because of her latest music video. This time it is because her former boyfriend, producer and business partner is suing her for $30.5 million, claiming he was pushed away after their failed romance.

Natalee Holloway: Ever since Natalee Holloway disappeared in 2005, the world has been fascinated with what may have happened to her. Recently, she was in the headlines when one of the original suspects was said to have confessed to the crime, but authorities said it wasn’t a plausible confession. Now a couple snorkeling in Aruba, where she was last seen, believe that they found her skeleton at the bottom of the ocean.

John Boccieri: After wrestling publicly with his vote, Democratic Rep. John Boccieri of Ohio announced Friday that he’ll be voting “yes” on the health care bill. Boccieri said he was encouraged by Congressional Budget Office numbers. Earlier, Boccieri said he was faced with “voting on an imperfect bill or doing nothing.”

Plushenko:  Evgeni Plushenko, the silver medalist in men’s figure skating at the Vancouver Olympics, is pulling out of the World Championship in Turin, Italy, according to the Associated Press.

The AP says Plushenko is withdrawing because of fatigue and an undisclosed injury, but the chatter online is much more speculative. The Russian caused some waves when he spoke out after the Olympics, saying he thought he should have gotten the gold because he skated a more technically difficult and proficient routine than American Evan Lysacek, who took the gold. Some folks now think he’s more frustrated and angry than hurt.
