Jennifer Aniston Brangelina

Jennifer Aniston Brangelina, It’s been seven years since Jennifer Aniston and Brad Pitt split. That’s seven years since “loneliness” replaced “The Rachel” as her signature style. Seven years since her name was inextricably connected to the term “Brangelina.” Seven years since we wished we’d never seen Mr. and Mrs. Smith.

Even so, if Aniston is smirking at you from the cover of a magazine, Brad and Angelina are somehow involved, a fact that has persisted nearly as long as Friends has been in syndication.

Take her cover story for InStyle’s latest issue. Aniston ostensibly has a movie to promote (Wanderlust! Remember that it exists Feb. 24!). The cover line teases her thoughts “on Justin, jeans & the workout plan that keeps her so hot.” This is all, debatably, true – although the Justin in question may not be as tantalizingly famous as others. (That would be Justin Theroux, Aniston’s boyfriend, co-star, and a dude she describes as having “great style,” since she’s talking to a fashion magazine.)

But what’s this? It seems InStyle also thought to gab with Aniston about that whole Brangelina business – and she was up for it. Apparently, she doesn’t hold a “grudge” against Angelina Jolie.

“The triangle with my ex-husband – and that there’s a feud there. It’s constant. It’s a story headline that won’t go away, but it’s a money thing,” said Aniston, suggesting that the media have been capitalizing off “a story that has nothing to do with reality.”

And on the topic of aging, she said: “You know what makes me feel old? When I see girls who are 20-something, or the new crop of actresses, and think, ‘Aren’t we kind of the same age?'” said Aniston, who turns 43 on Feb. 11. “You lose perspective. Or being offered the part of a woman with a 17-year-old child. It’s like, ‘I’m not old enough to have a 17-year-old!’ And then you realize, ‘Well, yeah, you are.'”
