Jack Del Rio, The Jacksonville Jaguars have fired coach Jack Del Rio after a 3-8 start, parting ways with him during his ninth season.

Del Rio’s job security had been tenuous since owner Wayne Weaver said the coach needed to make the playoffs to secure a 10th season in Jacksonville. The Jaguars were essentially eliminated with Sunday’s 20-13 loss to Houston.

The Jaguars are struggling to sell tickets and host a Monday night game against San Diego.

Del Rio leaves with a 69-73 record, including 1-2 in two playoffs appearances. The Jaguars didn’t win the AFC South in any of his nine seasons.

USC wants Jack Del Rio as a leadman of the school because USC is intended to replace Peter Carroll. He is still working with Jaguars, however, it has been reported that team owner Wayne Weaver is not intended to keep Jack Del Rio for the upcoming season. Wayne Weaver and Jack Del Rio are programmed to meet in this regard. If Jack Del Rio would be fired he will have to pay more than $15 million.

Jack Del Rio is also an Ex-player of American football. He started his coach career in 1997, when he joined New Orleans Saints as a conditioning coach. Baltimore Ravens hired him as the linebackers coach in 1999. He was hired as the Defensive Coordinator by the Carolina Panthers after the season 2001. He is the coach who helped Carolina Panthers to get the position “The second Best Defense,” throughout his first season with Carolina Panthers.

When Jacksonville Jaguars dismissed Tom Coughlin in 2003, Jack Del Rio was selected the second head coach of the team, his record was 5-11 in that season. The Jacksonville Jaguars made a record of 9-7 in 2004 with Jack Del Rio. In the next season, the Jacksonville Jaguars completed the game as a wild card team, so that season was finished with a record of 28-3 when they lost the game to the New England Patriots. In his season seven with Jaguars, Jack Del Rio has a record of 58-57 with a 1-2 playoff record. When comes in 2008, Jacksonville Jaguars officials extended the contract with Jack Del Rio through 2012 season.
