Ahmadinejad, The Iranian government has denied a report that President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad was targeted by an assassination attempt today.

According to an Iranian news website conservative, however, a grenade was thrown at the presidential convoy as it passes through the western town of Hamedan this morning.

The attacker shouted “Death to the hypocrites” before throwing the grenade, which landed about 100 meters from the car of the president, reported KhabarOnline. A man has been arrested immediately, according to the website.

Ahmadinejad’s office said there was no attempt to attack, but a spectator threw a firecracker when the presidential convoy was passed.

Ahmadinejad was unhurt and went for a scheduled speech at a local sports stadium. State television showed footage of him in front of a large crowd.

Just days ago, the Financial Times detailed China’s attempt to even further block individual website registrations.

But today, CN4Iran is heating up in Twitter. As of 8:30 AM PST, LALATE noticed at least 20 #CN4Iran tweets in 30 seconds. One explained the CN4Iran as follows:
