Working with the regeneration of Finance Solar Project DCSD will reduce energy costs for school district reduce its carbon footprint and educate the student population.
More than 17,000 solar panels are being installed at 31 sites across the country DCSD in order to reduce carbon emissions and save money. Sites with photovoltaic modules, including 30 primary and secondary schools as well as an athletics stadium, all located in Highlands Ranch, Littleton, Lone Tree or Parker, Colorado.

By virtue of their power purchase agreement (“PPA”), regeneration of Finance pays the full cost to develop, construct, operate and maintain the project while purchases DCSD power without emissions from regeneration Finance at a reduced rate. The low-cost energy that regeneration of Finance will provide the school district is estimated to save 5.5 million DCSD and over the next 25 years.

This construction project has progressed sun at an extremely rapid. DCSD received regeneration project finance following a tender in July, and DCSD and regeneration of Finance executed the APA in the following month. Over the next three months, regeneration of Finance and its local partners have obtained all necessary permits and approvals, set appropriate funding, and in mid-November, has received approval from project managers to DCSD begin construction. With all the solar modules, inverters and mounting equipment on the site, the project will continue to act quickly and should be completed on time.

Regeneration of Finance based on its more than 25 years of experience in project financing and the expertise of tax advantaged transactions efficiently and effectively implementing solar projects across the country.

By continuing to work with school systems and other local communities, regeneration of Finance intends to do its utmost to help achieve the goal of Colorado to increase solar power in the state. Prospective DCSD, rapid action and selection of good partners have enabled the solar energy project to move quickly to tender for the design to construction. Soon, DCSD has a solar solution that educates, saves money and helped to create local “green collar” jobs.

Premier Power Renewable Energy, Inc., in collaboration with partners MasTec Power, LLC, is the design-build solar responsible for the construction of the DCSD project.
