Michelle Obama, (AP) – The first lady Michelle Obama will become the latest high-level Democratic campaign for Richard Blumenthal, the state attorney general who is in a competitive race for Senate seat from Connecticut.

Campaign Blumenthal said Wednesday that the first lady appears at an event with Blumenthal on October 18. Details of the appearance have not yet been published.

President Barack Obama and former President Bill Clinton have already been published at events to rally supporters and raise campaign funds.

Ted Kennedy Jr., son of the late Senator from Massachusetts, was to attend a rally Wednesday in New Haven with Blumenthal.

A recent survey by Quinnipiac University Blumenthal gives a slight lead over Republican Linda McMahon in the race to replace Democratic Senator Chris Dodd.

Irene Rosenfeld, CEO of Kraft was visiting the Cadbury factory at Bournville in Birmingham today for the first time since the resumption of the controversial business of chocolate this year.

Irene Rosenfeld, now also known as the world’s second most powerful woman, has been meeting with employees and management and was expected to hold a session of questions and answers.

Ms. Rosenfeld was second in the annual Forbes magazine’s most powerful women in the world after the wife of U.S. President Barack Obama, Michelle.
