I’m A Celebrity, Squeamish Eighties icon Sinitta was picked by the public to complete a live Bushtucker trial on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! last night (20th November).

The So Macho hitmaker, who has already participated in two gruesome challenges in the jungle, was chosen ahead of Corrie star Antony Cotton for shopping-themed task, Horrods.

When asked by hosts Ant & Dec how she felt to have been selected by viewers again, the 43-year old joked: “I’m delighted. I love shopping… I have missed shopping, especially shopping with you guys. And you’re paying.”

The challenge saw Simon Cowell’s former lover make her way through a jungle department store, filled with a series of delights from the Aussie Bush – including snakes, a baby lobster and of course, creepy critters.

Sinitta managed to win five meals for her campmates, with Cotton claiming that if he had been picked to complete the trial instead of the singer, he would have had “no problem.”

In other I’m A Celebrity news, romance could be blossoming for The Only Way Is Essex heartthrob Mark Wright and new arrival, glamour girl Emily Scott.

After flirting with Scott in the jungle pool, Wright admitted to the bikini-clad babe that he used to have a poster of her on his bedroom wall when he was younger, claiming she was one of his favourites.

I’m A Celeb

I’m A Celeb, Freddie Starr has entered the Australian jungle ready for ‘I’m A Celebrity … Get Me Out of Here!’. The 68-year-old comedian’s appearance on the ITV1 show was in doubt when he was unable to join up with the rest of the contestants earlier this week due to complications regarding his insurance paperwork, but the problem has now been fixed and he is Down Under for the start of the programme, which begins tonight (13.11.11).

Speaking to the Sunday Mirror newspaper, Freddie – who had a triple heart bypass last year – said: “I’ve got the ticker for this – I’m not gonna quit. I may be voted out, but I’m no quitter.

“I don’t know if I’ll be King of the Jungle, who knows? I certainly won’t be saying, ‘I’m A Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here!’

“What happened to me was nobody’s fault. I don’t blame anybody. It was all over one piece of paper that wasn’t signed, but it’s all sorted out now.”

The comic had to stay in his hotel room as the other stars of the show – who include ‘The Only Way is Essex’ hunk Mark Wright, ‘Coronation Street’ actor Antony Cotton, McFly bassist Dougie Poynter and ‘Real Hustle’ stunner Jessica Jane Clement – bonded with each other.

The contestants have faced the first trial of the series so far, entitled The Scales of Justice, which saw them bobbing for keys in containers full of maggots and smelly fish guts while they were suspended above the ground in a large seat.
