Homemade Halloween Costumes 2011Homemade Halloween Costumes 2011, Sometimes, buying a Halloween costume can be the scariest thing of the holiday.

These days, Halloween display is impossible to miss on almost any department store or discount store, drugstore, hardware store and grocery store, even. The rich – and often expensive – options in the shows of the season can be overwhelming, not only children but adults as well.

In an effort to provide a starting point for buyers of costumes, we did a little shopping of our own. We will not spend more than 25 and a suit and stuck to it – and, in most cases. We also worked to include several shopping experiences – from local unconditional Mallatt Halloween costume stores and shops in the area of ??second-hand – and to cover different age groups and tastes. Here’s a look at our little Halloween costumes, along with some tips for each one of them. We say, go ahead and get into the Halloween spirit. It’s always fun to play dress-up.

Preparation: No doubt I was going to my suit. Mallatt on Monroe Street is a Madison institution – in the business at that location for 70 years – and is just around the corner from my house. As you browse the aisles, I had in mind I wanted to be Jimmy Buffett, beach bum turned a rock star turned billionaire business tycoon. I’ve been a Buffett fan for 35 years, although a little less lately, since I started acting at the meetings of Wal-Mart shareholders.

Parts: At this point I must confess that I was accompanied by a Halloween costume consultant. To protect your identity, I will refer to her as my girlfriend, Jean. When I told him I had been given a budget of 25 and my whole costume, he said, “Do not be silly.” Consultants do not do budgets. However, we approach. I already had a tropical shirt. I found some cool sunglasses with a touch of the Caribbean (and 6.99) and an inflatable guitar (and 3.99). I wanted a glass of margarita – a tribute to the song Buffett, the most successful – but settled for a plastic cup (and 2.99). Buffett’s most devoted fans known as Parrotheads, so I grabbed a belt-parrot (and 14.99) to complete my costume. “We are with a smaller budget,” he said. “Lie,” said my advisor. It also did not shave for a couple of days, because one of the reasons to be a rock and roll star is that you do not have to shave.

Tip: Ask staff for help Mallatt. They are the best. Kelly even flew my inflatable guitar.
