Game Change Film

Game Change Film, Sen. John McCain wants HBO’s Game Change – a scathing take on McCain’s choice of Sarah Palin as his 2008 running mate – to just fade away.

The former Republican Presidential candidate said he didn’t even bother to watch the HBO movie Saturday night.

“I watched the Phoenix Coyotes beat the San Jose Sharks three to nothing. It was a great game,” McCain stiffly told Fox News Sunday.

Though he didn’t watch the movie, he said it was nothing but a hack job drawn from unnamed sources and that he had nothing but respect for Palin – then and now.

“I admire and respect her. I’m proud of our campaign, I’m grateful that she ran with me and I will always be proud of what we did,” McCain said.

Actress Julianne Moore won kudos for what critics called her eerily on-target portrayal of Vice President hopeful Palin.

Drawn from the best-selling book by John Heilemann and Mark Halperin, the movie portrayed Palin as something of an idiot savant – ignorant of the basics in history or world politics, but brilliant in her ability to connect and rally a crowd.
