Grauman’s Chinese Theatre, Michael Jackson was immortalized Thursday when his three children celebrated his life and career at Grauman’s Chinese Theatre in Hollywood.

Fans gathered outside of the popular tourist attraction to watch the late pop icon’s three children – Prince, Paris and Blanket – use his famous sequined glove and shoes to leave imprints in cement during the ceremony along Hollywood Boulevard.

“My dad won the lifetime achievement award. It was an award he strived and worked the hardest to get but for me, and I think for him as well, this right here is his lifetime achievement award,” Prince told the crowd. “This is what he strived to get and this is what we are giving him now today.”

Prince, 14, and Blanket, 9, pressed a pair of their father’s shoes into the wet cement, as sister Paris, 13, scrawled his name and used one of his famous sequined gloves to stamp an impression. All three children also added their own handprints in the wet cement.

The hour-long ceremony included speeches and musical performances from Jackson’s friends and family, including his mother Katherine.

“It’s a very good celebration and I know if Michael was here he would agree, to see all his friends and loved ones, and especially his fans here to celebrate this with him,” the family matriarch said.

“Michael, we miss you,” said brother Tito Jackson. “There’s hardly a day that goes by without him going on in my mind somehow, some way, and I know he is here today with us.”

Musical producer Quincy Jones, Motown singer Smokey Robinson and comedian Chris Tucker also shared their personal memories of the legendary performer, while pop star Justin Bieber called him his role model.

“Everything I do, I look at Michael and I want to be as good as he was,” said Bieber, 17. “I want to have that perfection, I want to, you know, be the best I can be, that’s what Michael did. He always wanted to be the best he could be.”

The star-studded event was held in part to promote Cirque du Soleil’s “Michael Jackson The Immortal World Tour,” which kicks off in Los Angeles Friday night.
