Costco Photo, Costco has announced plans to open around March 1 in Reynolds Ranch development Harney Lane and Highway 99. The retailer, which will anchor the shopping center, closed custody on Tuesday, said Mayor Phil Katzakian.

The developer intends to clear the vineyard and down houses and the former Moose Lodge from September, Councilman Larry Hansen said.

Costco plans to begin construction on November 1, Hansen said. Corporate giant takes 110 days to build a store.

“I have been in favor of this development from day one. For me to have retail on the highway is the perfect setting,” he said.

Costco is one of the three main generators of sales tax in the country, Hansen said.

It will be a 154.114-square-foot store with 16 gas station bombs in an area of 15 acres. The retailer will hire 150 part-time employees and 150 full-time workers with benefits.

Now that Costco is confirmed, Hansen expects more companies will start looking in Lodi. He is not sure where Home Depot, another anchor, is in the process of development.

“I think we’ll start hearing commitments,” said Hansen. “To Costco confirmed, others were not really the commission.”

Other retailers are only speculating at this point, but he knows people are looking for restaurants in the mall.

Costco is a retailer of members, except that sells many products in bulk at wholesale. Under the proposal, the store will offer over 4,000 products at retail and will include a bakery, pharmacy, optical center, service center evidentiary hearing, food court and a center of the photo. There will be a 5.692 square feet Tire Center.
