Wombat Fossil

Wombat FossilWombat Fossil, A fossil wombat the size of an SUV has been discovered in Queensland, Australia. Paleontologists say that nearly all the bones are intact. The wombat is a giant who lived 2.5 million years Diprotodon, but became extinct about 50,000 years ago when humans first began to appear.

Speaking about the discovery, biologist Mike Archer of the University of New South Wales said: “If one tries to visualize what this thing looked like it would have to think a kind of a giant wombat on steroids.”

This discovery is very exciting for paleontologists because this is the most complete fossil ever discovered Diprotodon. The scientists were excavating near Floraville Station at the time. Surprisingly, a wombat today weighs about 80 kilos. This giant wombat would have weighed about 6,000 pounds! Obviously, it’s a good thing that no longer occurs because even the tiny modern versions have been known to be aggressive enough to attack humans!

Paleontologists Sue Hand said: “It was the biggest of them all. The largest marsupial that ever existed on any continent.”

Well, it certainly is quite hard to imagine a mega-wombat-sized SUV. It would be even harder to imagine a marsupial that was bigger! Hopefully, scientists will be able to adequately preserve the fossils, and finally show everyone will be able to watch it closely. One thing is to imagine something; it’s something completely different from your code.
