Gerard Depardieu

Gerard DepardieuGerard Depardieu, Snakes on a Plane sounds downright charming compared to this. French film icon GĂ©rard Depardieu could not keep any time after his Air France flight from Paris to Dublin was delayed on Wednesday. So when asked if the flight crew could use the toilet and was told he should have did what any celebrity cocky to do:

He urinated on the carpet. Really. The Depardieu, 62-year-old allegedly told the flight attendants from his seat, “Je veux ba*tard, bas**rd je veux” (“I have to pee”), according to French radio station Europe 1, quoting a passenger named Daniel who was an eyewitness to the incident.

Unfortunately for the bladder, the star of Green Card told the bathrooms were closed because the plane was on the track.

That does not sit well with Depardieu, who unzipped and relieved himself in front of shocked passengers.

Not exactly first class, huh?

“You could say he had been drinking,” said a distraught Daniele.

After the incident, the plane returned to the gate and all 127 passengers were forced to disembark. The flight was delayed two hours while the ground crew clean up the mess.

A representative of Air France subsidiary company operating the flight, Ireland-based Jet City, made light of the situation in Twitter.

“As you may have seen on the news, we are busy cleaning the floor of one of our planes this morning,” said the tweet.

“We would also like to remind all passengers that our aircraft are fully equipped with sanitary facilities.”

It is unclear what kind of charges will face Depardieu, in his case. The Golden Globe-winning thesp was on his way to Ireland to film his next movie, Asterix and Obelix: God Save Britannia. Depardieu representatives were unavailable for comment. Not that we blame.
