Perfect Game Blown CallPerfect Game Blown Call:Umpire Jim Joyce Hits Perfect Game For Armando Galarraga – How would you feel if you were so close to making history, and what you did, but someone decided to take it all away in a bad decision? Well, it seems that happened last night. Let me paint the picture for you in case you have not heard of this now.

Detroit Tigers pitcher Armando Galarraga threw a perfect game (no hits, no walks, no men on base) through eight 2 / 3 innings and essentially requires a final out to record their name in the history of Major League Baseball. Suddenly, a grounder is beaten, first baseman Cabrera fields, Galarraga is quick to cover first, the throw is there and … insurance?

There was a lot of emotion especially when burning was actually a way out. I know it’s different and difficult in the game but every reproduction of one showed it was clearly out of step. There are two points of view of the image you can see one above and one below right.

To all who watched the game on television, we had the luxury of watching the repeats. In the field, they have to make a split decision. Unfortunately, it was the wrong one by Jim Joyce.

Joyce did come out and say he made a bad decision and began to mourn for it. Now it’s basically up to MLB commissioner to cancel the call.

So what will happen? Armando Galarraga will finish with a perfect game? Or is it a perfect game ended with a bad decision?
