Fresh Prince Of Bel Air, The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air is an American television sitcom that originally aired on NBC from September 10, 1990 to May 20, 1996. The show stars Will Smith as a fictionalized version of himself, a street-smart teenager from West Philadelphia who is sent to move in with his aunt and uncle in their wealthy Bel Air mansion, where his lifestyle often clashes with that of his relatives.

The 148 episodes were broadcast over six seasons. Will Smith was a popular and successful rapper during the late 1980s, but because he spent money too freely and grossly underpaid his income taxes, he was assessed a penalty of $2.8 million by the IRS. The agency subsequently seized many of his possessions and garnished his income. This left Smith nearly bankrupt when, in 1990, he was approached by the television network NBC who signed him on to a contract and built a sitcom around him.

Fresh Prince Of Bel AirFresh Prince Of Bel Air, Most people who grew up in the 1990s have fond memories of sitcom The Fresh Prince Of Bel Air, but it seems those memories are not shared by former star Janet Hubert.

The actress, who played Aunt Vivian in the Will Smith vehicle, has lashed out at the Hollywood star and labelled him an “a**hole”.

Speaking after Smith posted a current snap of himself and the rest of the main characters on his Facebook page, 55-year-old Hubert explained why she chose to ignore the invitation to the recent reunion dinner.

She said: “There will never be a reunion… as I will never do anything with an a**hole like Will Smith.

“He is still an egomaniac and has not grown up. This constant reunion thing will never ever happen in my lifetime unless there is an apology, which he doesn’t know the word.”

The bad blood between the pair is old news, apparently starting before Hubert left the show back in the ’90s.

Commenting on it in the past, Smith said: “[She] said once, ‘I’ve been in the business for 10 years and this snotty-nosed punk comes along and gets a show.’ No matter what, to her I’m just the AntiChrist.”

We’re just glad he’s still on good terms with Carlton. It would break our hearts if they fell out.
