Formula 1 NewsFormula 1 News, It was another thriller at the Hungaroring in 2011 yesterday’s Formula 1 Hungarian Grand Prix with McLaren Button, Jenson finally emerging the victor after a drama-filled race that also saw Red Bull Racing Sebastian, Vettel and McLaren teammate Lewis Hamilton take turns at the helm.

The generally dry conditions of the Hungarian Grand Prix were nowhere to be seen in the early morning mist, leaving much of the wet. However, championship leader Vettel managed to sprint to the lead from pole and held on until the eager Hamilton happened in the fifth, when the young German was very strong in a corner.

Hamilton took over the next 29 laps, with Button coming in second to last button Vettel after a tire change. Now it seemed that Hamilton was on track for their second win in two races, but was not meant to be.

After changing a tire compound ‘super soft’ on lap 40, more rain began to fall and, finally, Hamilton went out on lap 47. This gave the lead to Button, but once passed Hamilton on lap 51.

However, more tire changes and a drive-through penalty on lap 56 due to an earlier incident with Paul Resta Force India Lewis Hamilton gave meaning to finish only finished fourth. Jenson Button took the victory in general, with Sebastian Vettel taking second on the grid of Ferrari and Fernando Alonso taking third.

With this victory, Button has accumulated 200 victories in the last Grand Prix in Hungary is certainly one that will remember for life.

Mark Webber finished fifth, but the real surprise was Paul di Resta, who finished seventh.

Despite missing another victory, Sebastian Vettel managed to extend his points lead in the Championship 2011 Formula 1 drivers, up to 234 marker points, 85 ahead of second placed Mark Webber and 88 points ahead of Lewis Hamilton, who is in the third.

In the constructors’ championship, Red Bull Racing remains the leader with 383 points, followed by McLaren on 280 points and Ferrari with 215 points.

The teams now take a long break and deserved the races; with three weeks to go until the 2011 Formula 1 Belgian Grand Prix begins at the legendary Spa-Francorchamps circuit in Belgium.
