Famous April Birthdays, April 1st

Susan Boyle giving up chocolate and sweets for lent was one of the most recent headlines for the Scottish sensation. Glenn Close is reportedly going to play Susan in a movie about her.
Jon Gosselin from Jon & Kate plus 8 lost some of his status after the break up and went through a long time of unemployment. He is said to be working in construction now.

April 2nd

John Randolph was the alias of Jack Webb from the famous detective show Dragnet.
linda hunt is well remembered from thriller The Year of Living Dangerously. She is overseeing the spin off NCIS: Los Angeles.

April 3rd

Jennie Garth, who is married to Peter Facinelli, was well know from beverly hills 90210. She is now in a new web series called Garden Party.
Alec Baldwin is known as a bit of a party animal but has been back in the limelight in a good way with 30 Rock. Some rumors say that Baldwin may be leaving 30 rock

April 4th

Robert Downey, Jr. had his ups and downs but is most definitely in the biggest up of his career and has shaped into a great actor. His latest movie release was comedy Due Date and he is said to be doing Iron Man 3. Robert Downey, Jr. will also be in the book adaptation Inherent Vice.
Jamie Lynn Spears, little sis of Britney, stared in the show Zoey 101. She scared her name when she got pregnant at 16.

April 5th

Paula Cole won a Grammy award for best new artists in 1998 for her 1997 alternative single Where Have All The Cowboys Gone.
Mike McCready from Pearl Jam has sounds imprinted into almost everyone’s heads with the slew of underground but extremely popular hist over the years. He suffers from Crohn’s disease and made it into The Top 20 New Guitar Gods list.

April 6th

Zach Braff made it big with Scrubs on the small screen and then elevated to the big screen with Garden State staring with Natalie Portman.
Candace Cameron was well known from Full House. She recently started talking about her struggling with an eating disorder.

April 7th

Janis Ian’s hit “Between the Lines” got No 1 on billboard album charts. In 1975 she won a grammy for her song “At Seventeen”.
Jackie Chan recently stared as iconic Mr. Miyagi in the Karate Kid reboot. The upcoming movie 1911 will be Jackie Chan’s 100th movie. There was just recently a rumor that Jackie Chan had died, gladly it isn’t true!

April 8th

Julian Lennon is the son of one of the world’s most loved musicians, John Lennon. Things were not always great with their relationship. His birth was kept a secret and it’s rumoured that he was not included in John Lennon’s will. He even had to buy back some Beatles stuff that related to him and the song Hey Jude was originally titled Hey Jules, McCartney wrote it about Julian.
Patricia Arquette was once married to Nicolas Cage and these days stars in the TV drama Medium.

April 9th

Kristen Stewart obviously hit it big with Twilight but she played rocker Joan Jett too and is rumoured to be in talks about playing Snow White.
Dennis Quaid, once married to Meg Ryan, was recently the president in the HBO show The Special Relationship.

April 10th

Steven Seagal is a 7th-dan black belt in Aikido and rose to fame in the Under Siege movies. The A&E show “Steven Seagal: Lawman” sees Seagal doing real Policework!
Mandy Moore showed up at the Academy Awards 2010 in a fairytale gown likely inspired by her role in the movie fairytale movie Tangled.

April 11th

Lisa Stansfield came to fame with her band blue zone set up with husband Ian Devaney. She had her biggest hit with late 80s song All Around the World.
Meshach Taylor is known for playing a con-man on the show Designing Women.

April 12th

David Letterman’s mentor was Johnny Carson and he has had a hell of a career. Recently David Letterman candidly dealt with a sex scandal.
Claire Danes was known for her coming of age role in My So Called Life but has moved onto more renowned stuff getting great feedback for her portrayal as Temple Grandin an autistic woman.

April 13th

Rick Schroder was a child star from Silver Spoons. Recently he was briefly in Lonesome Dove and superhero show No Ordinary Family.
Lou Bega hit it big with one hit wonder Mambo No.5. It’s still not uncommon to hear the song in random places!

April 14th

Sarah Michelle Gellar will never be forgotten for her role as Buffy in Buffy the Vampire Slayer but she also had a hit with The Grudge. She will be returning to the screen soon with a new pilot called Ringer (read about more Fall 2011 TV Pilots here).
Adrien Brody won an Oscar for The Pianist. His acceptance was memorable because he kissed Halle Berry.

April 15th

Seth Rogen has been making Nerds the ting to be since Freaks and Geeks and has made quite a niche for himself in movies such as Knocked Up and Pinapple Express (reunited with a Freaks and Geeks co-star). He stepped out of niche for The Green Hornet 3D which got pretty decent reviews.
Emma Watson may be a little typecast right now but she is a great actress and I am sure will outgrow Harry Potter. She was attending Ivy League school Brown university but dropped it to concentrate on acting and being the face of Lancome.

April 16th

Ellen Barkin stared in The Big Easy amongst many other movies and is now quite a veteran. She doesn’t really need to work anymore because she just got a divorce settlement for $40 million fom Ron Perelman!
Jon Cryer was well known from Pretty in Pink but more recently Two and a Half Men. Jon Cryer gracefully and funnily responded on Conan to being called a Troll by Charlie Sheen.

April 17th

Victoria Beckham rose to fame as Spice Girl before becoming spouse to David Beckham and a Soccer wife fashion icon. She is expecting a baby girl to add to the ever growing family.
Jennifer Garner, who is married to Ben Affleck, has done well for herself and been in pretty constant work. She will be staring in a movie about Milk called Butter.

April 18th

Conan O’brien and the tonight show mess is over now and I guess so is the Conan O’brien Jay Leno feud. He now has a new show on cable channel TBS. He also started the Team Coco movement.
Melissa Joan Hart will always be remembered for Sabrina the Teenage Witch and also Clarissa Explains It All. Her new show is called Melissa and Joey.

April 19th

Kate Hudson is pregnant with the baby of Muse frontman Matthew Bellamy. She is a renowned actress with a famous mother, Goldie Hawn.
James Franco was recently an Oscar co-host and star of acclaimed movie 127 Hours. He is a great actor and I am sure has a very bright few years ahead of him.

April 20th

Colin Powell was the United States Secretary of State under President George W. Bush. but switched to support Obama. I believe he is still Republican but there was talks of him joining Obama’s government at one point.
Jessica Lange was in the 1976 remake of King Kong and was recently in a biographical movie called Grey Gardens.

April 21st

Tony Danza is most remembered from Taxi and Who’s the Boss. He also recently fileds for divorce.
Andie Macdowell was originally a model but rose to fame as an actress. Everyone remembers her with Bill Murray in Groundhog Day.

April 22nd

Sherri Shepherd was hilarious in her show less than perfect. She can now be seen on The View.
Jack Nicholson has had memorable role after role from Jack in The Shining to a crime boss more recently in The Departed. One of my favorite actors of all time.

April 23rd

Lee Majors was the Six Million Dollar Man in the cult TV show of the same name. He was also married to Farrah Fawcett.
Shirley Temple had an iconic role in The Little Princess and later became US Ambassador to Czechoslovakia, believe it or not!

April 24th

Barbra Streisand has had a very successful film and music career and is still going. She is affectionately known as Babs and will be staring in a road trip comedy in 2012 called My Mother’s Curse.
Cedric Antonio Kyles is know to the world as Cedric the Entertainer. He is one of The Original Kings of Comedy and is known for his role in The Steve Harvey Show.

April 25th

Al Pacino has so many classic roles it’s hard to remember all of them. He is infamous for The Godfather series and won an Oscar for Scent of a Woman. A living legend!
Renee Zellweger is most well known for her role in Bridget Jones’s Diary but she has had other success with movies like Jerry Maguire. Sadly her relationship with Hangover star Bradley Cooper is off.

April 26th

The Carol Burnett Show earned respect for Carol Burnett. She is one of a list of stars to guest on the musical show Glee.
Bobby Rydell had teen idol status in the 60s with songs like The Wild One. In 2009 Bobby Rydell arrested for a DUI.

April 27th

Casey Kasem was known as the host of the American top 40, now hosted by Ryan Seacrest.
Sheena Easton has worked in all aspects of music and has a fruitful career. She was a sensation and known for collaborations with Prince.

April 28th

Penelope Cruz recently had baby boy with another famous Spanish actor Javiar Bardem. She can next be seen on the big screen in Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides. I love her for some of her great Spanish roles such as All About Your Mother.
Jay Leno has a huge classic car collection and has rose to fame as a respected talk show host. He was also a witness at the high profile Michael Jackson 2005 trial.

April 29th

Andre Agassi is only one of three Tennis pro’s to have acheived a Career Golden Slam. S-EX- retired after health problems with scatia bone spur illness.
Uma Thurman seems to do best when working with Quentin Tarantino but has had success outside of those movies although Kill Bill will always be a highlight for her.

April 30th

Dianna Agron was on Veronica Mars before joining the cast of musical show Glee.
Willie Nelson is an icon and it’s no surprise he was recently arrested for pot possession! There is a rumor that Willie Nelson May Have to Sing in Court as part of his punishment!
