Easter Egg Designs

Easter Egg Designs, Pretty flower dresses with matching hats. Blooming white lilies. Baskets filled with pastel wrapped candies. Jellybeans. Chocolate bunnies. Marshmallow ch-cks. Plenty of treats add to the joy we feel each year at Easter, but perhaps the biggest fun is what we find in one of our oldest traditions: The Easter egg hunt. And of course, the Easter Bunny, the life-size fluffy character who is responsible for all of the colorful eggs left outside.

Across the world, children run around, some laughing and others more serious, all in an effort to find the best eggs. By the end, usually a good two to three minutes later, baskets are full and kids are smiling – or busy indulging in chocolate.

Some of these hunts are pretty extravagant. In Maincy, France, outside a castle located near Paris, some 35,000 eggs are hidden for two Easter egg hunts: One for kids in the morning and another for adults in the afternoon. They also host a chocolate-making workshop, pony rides and more.

Ponies and learning how to make chocolate sounds pretty cool, but a separate egg hunt for adults? Now this is one more reason to want to live in France.

In London, the FabergĂ© Big Egg Hunt featured 200 designer eggs that were each more than two feet tall and scattered about the city. Participants competed in an interactive contest with code-word clues they had to text message in for a chance to win the grand prize – a real diamond egg valued at about $160,000.

A diamond egg? Now that sounds more appealing than even a Cadbury egg.
