Earthquakes Today, (AP) – An earthquake of magnitude 4.2 shook parts of central Indiana, sparking a wave of calls to local residents shaken. The U.S. Geological Survey said on its website that the quake occurred at 07:55 AM EST on Thursday and was centered about five miles south of Howard County Greentown. It is about 50 miles north-northeast of Indianapolis.
No damage was immediately reported. Howard County Sheriff Chief Deputy Steve Rogers said the department has been bombarded with phone calls after the earthquake people who wonder what happened. He says some people have reported hearing a loud explosion.
Indiana University geologist Michael Hamburger told Indianapolis television station WTHR quake was felt throughout central Indiana and western Ohio. He said that the quake occurred in a “seismic is very quiet.”

Indiana Earthquake, (AP) – The U.S. Geological Survey has reduced the estimated magnitude of an earthquake that shook parts of Indiana and four other states of the magnitude of 3.8.

Initial estimate of the agency force of the earthquake of magnitude 4.2 was. The USGS said the 7:55 EST on Thursday, was centered about five miles south of Greentown in Howard County, about 50 miles north of Indianapolis.

The USGS said the quake was felt by people as far away as Illinois, Ohio, Kentucky and Wisconsin. Geophysicist Randy Baldwin said an earthquake of this magnitude to feel like a truckload of way. No damage was immediately reported, and Baldwin said he did not expect.

Borrego SpringsBorrego Springs — Toppayingideas —  People of Borrego Springs shacked were bad today as an earthquake of 5.4 magnitude cam. Just before the rush hour. The USGS had the quake, said a magnitude of 5.4 and lasted about 30 seconds. The center of the quake was located at 13 miles from Borrego Springs. Earthquake kits could come in handy!
The movement was strong enough to be felt in San Diego, Los Angeles and have some parts of Southern California. The earthquake was initially reported was downgraded to 6.0 but were collected shortly after the quake had all the information.
There were no injuries or causalities reported as a result of earthquakes. The area of Borrego Springs was conducted to see what was the status of buildings and people checked in the region. Los Angeles International Airport, said through a statement of the following:
“Operations at Los Angeles International Airport are usually after a small earthquake this afternoon runs. As always, passengers are requested to contact their airlines for the latest information on the status of their flights.”

Recent Earthquakes in Southern CaliforniaRecent Earthquakes in Southern California:On the night of Saturday, while many people were enjoying the weekend or sitting at home enjoying some quality time with families in southern California, many earthquakes shook the area and spread a lot of worry. The earthquakes were consecutive and were of considerable magnitude. Earthquakes hit the Borrego Springs Community.
According to the U.S. Geological Survey Department the first quake occurred at eight minutes past eight o’clock local time. The magnitude of the first rattlesnake was 4.9. The second earthquake struck less than 24 seconds later. This was 4.5. These two were enough to cause much harm to the community. The first quake struck at a depth in the soil, amounting to 3.6 miles and is located about nine miles north-northwest of Borrego Springs area, 59 miles northeast of San Diego and 32 miles from south and southeast of the Palm Springs area. The second quake was only a mile away from the first.

The magnitudes of these earthquakes were very low and could have caused any property damage, but was very fortunate that the Sheriff’s Department received no damage or injury to the calls of the community that was hit. People definitely feel earthquakes earthquakes and two back to back had the potential to cause damage in an area committed, but the truth of the matter is that Southern California has been waiting for earthquakes in this way because of similar tremors before.

Earthquake Los AngelesEarthquake Los Angeles:It seems that a mild undersea earthquake has beaten today which was felt in Santa Monica and throughout the western region of Los Angeles California. The earthquake measured a magnitude 3.6 and occurred at 2:17 am PDT according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

A report on the Los Angeles Times The Associated Press says the quake occurred about four miles west of Redondo Beach, at a depth of 8 miles.

Hundreds of people who felt the tremors in contact with the USGS website, most coastal areas, but some of Los Angeles is 20 miles east. Fortunately there were no reports of injuries or damage, and a spokesman for the Santa Monica Police said he only felt a slight bump and soon.
