Recent Earthquakes in Southern CaliforniaRecent Earthquakes in Southern California:On the night of Saturday, while many people were enjoying the weekend or sitting at home enjoying some quality time with families in southern California, many earthquakes shook the area and spread a lot of worry. The earthquakes were consecutive and were of considerable magnitude. Earthquakes hit the Borrego Springs Community.
According to the U.S. Geological Survey Department the first quake occurred at eight minutes past eight o’clock local time. The magnitude of the first rattlesnake was 4.9. The second earthquake struck less than 24 seconds later. This was 4.5. These two were enough to cause much harm to the community. The first quake struck at a depth in the soil, amounting to 3.6 miles and is located about nine miles north-northwest of Borrego Springs area, 59 miles northeast of San Diego and 32 miles from south and southeast of the Palm Springs area. The second quake was only a mile away from the first.

The magnitudes of these earthquakes were very low and could have caused any property damage, but was very fortunate that the Sheriff’s Department received no damage or injury to the calls of the community that was hit. People definitely feel earthquakes earthquakes and two back to back had the potential to cause damage in an area committed, but the truth of the matter is that Southern California has been waiting for earthquakes in this way because of similar tremors before.
