Eagles Vs RedskinsEagles Vs Redskins, The Eagles finally put it all together, at least by half, to go out with a lead of 20-3 over the Redskins in between.

The troubled Eagles defense limited the Redskins to just 75 yards of offense and forced a few turnovers, and Kurt Coleman and Nate Allen each wine with an interception.

Michael Vick – return to the field that triggered perhaps the best performance of his career a year ago – was strong, rising from 12 of 20 for 141 yards with one touchdown pass. He also rushed for 25 yards.

LeSean McCoy became the first player in Eagles history to score in each of the first six games to start a season. He finished with 80 yards and a touchdown.

Other observations halftime:

– Nnamdi Asomugha absolutely destroyed Chris Cooley late in the first quarter. With Washington facing a third-and-2 late in the first quarter, Cooley took a pass from Rex Grossman swing on the floor to the left and crushed by Asomugha approaches. It was the biggest hit of the Eagles season to date.

– Todd Herremans, forced to play left tackle because of injuries, was really outstanding in the offensive star in the first half. He threw two key blocks in a 11-yard McCoy to set the Eagles account first, and usually keep the dangerous Brian Orakpo under control.

– Brent Celek made his biggest impact of the season to date. Their average includes an improbable juggling catch a touchdown to open the scoring, and a key block of McCoy touchdown run early in the second quarter.

– The Eagle to score in six straight games was Ricky Watters in 1995.

– Winston Justice was solid overall in his first action of the season. The Redskins did not bring much fire to start the half, and began to make some blitzes success as the match went on.
