Dutchess County FairDutchess County Fair, The Dutchess County Fair please accept (Search and Help a veteran record) identification card as proof that an individual is a U.S. veteran and allow a discount on an admission ticket to the show, Dutchess County Clerk Bradford Kendall said.

“I am delighted that the Dutchess County Fair will continue its tradition of offering discounts to U.S. veterans,” said Kendall. “I am grateful that the show PLEASE card is accepted as proof that an individual is a U.S. veteran. This is a great way to thank those who proudly served in U.S. military. ”

Director of the Dutchess County Division of Veterans Service Nelson Eddy Rivera said the card program has been a great way to connect more veterans than ever before.

“When they come to our office to obtain the necessary form for the card PLEASE also have the opportunity to talk with them about the benefits may be eligible as a result of his honorable service to our country,” said Rivera.

Kendall said, “The Dutchess County Fair is to be commended for their obvious appreciation for our U.S. veterans. Any chance we can show our gratitude to the brave men and women who served our nation should not be missed.”

Robert Grems, general manager of the Dutchess County Fair added: “Following a tradition that began two years ago, a special tribute to veterans precede the show every night from the podium.”

To get a card PLEASE veterans must first submit their honorable discharge papers from the Division of Dutchess County Veterans Service Office (4 th floor of the county offices, 22 Market St. Poughkeepsie). A director of the Division of Veterans Affairs to complete a quick take shape with the veteran. From there, the veteran shall be the County Clerk’s Office to obtain their ID for free.
