Dublin FloodsDublin Floods, Dublin City Council has activated its emergency plan as a result of increased flooding in the city.

Sustained rainfall led to major roads, houses and a commercial center of the main city under water.

A police officer out of service is not Irish in County Wicklow, near where a river overflowed.

Public transport was badly damaged and part of the city, an inflatable boat was used to rescue stranded motorists.

There were three hours of delays in some major city routes and the Dart train service from Dublin has been suspended.

The heavy rain also affected travelers along the east coast of Ireland with the Belfast to Dublin service companies are canceling.

Two rivers that flow into Dublin, Camac and Dodder, have been overwhelmed.

Officials said most problems can be caused by an exceptionally high tide was expected Monday night.

Ireland’s weather service, Met Eireann has issued a severe thunderstorm warning for large areas of Ulster and Leinster to the east.
