Rashard Mendenhall

Rashard MendenhallRashard Mendenhall, Steelers RB Rashard Mendenhall (hamstring) is questionable, but was limited on Friday. If you’re not practicing, it is safer to make adjustments for the week. Mendenhall, who has been underperforming, faces a defense allowing 81.3 yards rushing in the position. Look elsewhere if you, such as Isaac Redman gets to see and start Mendenhall, if you can not go. Redman is an injury bye week filler or a No. 3 back in the big leagues. With Mewelde Moore (ankle) he would see most of the carries.

Look for Texans RB Chris Ogbonnaya to serve as the backup Arian Foster. Ben Tate (groin) and Derrick Ward (ankle / shoulder) both will be ready, but only one is active, to seek a decision on game day. Foster is likely to carry the load Ogbonnaya as the No. 2, so that Tate and Ward have no value this week. You can grab Ogbonnaya and hope he sees a dozen touches against a minor run defenses in the league.

Texans WR Andre Johnson (hamstring) had hamstring surgery and plans to return in a couple of weeks. Look for Jacoby Jones (knee), who practiced this week to take over. However, he has disappointed all season and is nothing more than a flex player. Kevin Walter is a worse option, as their coach this year was just a fluke. It’s just a bye week or injury fill.

Cardinals RB Beanie Wells (hamstring) is questionable and was limited in practice all week. Find a game-time decision and make backup plans in case. If he plays, inserts it into the lineup after 27-138-3 performance last week.

Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger (foot) practiced this week and the game will be. However, with only three touchdown passes in four games against a tough Titans’ secondary, this is not a week to play with a bad foot.

Chargers WR Vincent Jackson (hamstring) practiced Friday and is probable. Look for him to play. It’s a No. 1 receiver in fantasy.

Patriots TE Aaron Hernandez (knee) practiced on a limited basis Thursday and Friday, but remember, these are the Patriots and injuries that could go either way. I hope I can play and should be in all lineups.

49ers RB Frank Gore (ankle) was limited in practice but is probable and should play. However, get back Kendall Hunter to see his share of touches. Gore is a No. 2 back and Hunter is goodbye, week or injury fill.

Falcons WR Roddy White (hamstring) is probable and has a nagging injury more than anything else. It is a must-start with a great matchup.

Packers RB Ryan Grant (kidney) is good to go and there was never any doubt. It is a farewell, weeks or injury fill-in player this week.

Giants WR Mario Manningham is still the starter despite the great work of Victor Cruz the last two weeks. I guess it could be any week or Tails Manningham. Mannigham is a No. 3 receiver for fantasy with a flex or bye week Cruz filler.

49ers WR Michael Crabtree was limited in practice, but offensive coordinator Greg Romano, said Crabtree looks like a 100 per cent. It’s time to put it in their lineups with great mourning and bye week set in.

Raiders WR Denarius Moore will continue to see playing time even though the rest of the receivers back to health. However, because there are so many people and Moore is a player or boom and bust is a flexible position player.

Jets WR Plaxico Burress (shoulder) is good to go and is a No. 3 receiver for fantasy this week.

Saints WR Devery Henderson (calf) was limited and, with a full group of receptors, which are more appropriate to leave it on the bench as he is questionable.

Giants RB Brandon Jacobs (knee) is doubtful for a slight MCL sprain. Find a game day decision, but do not expect to leave. It has been underperforming anyway. Look for Ahmad Bradshaw to see most of the carries. Bradshaw is a fantasy No. 1 again as the primary ballcarrier.

Chargers TE Antonio Gates (foot) is out and there is no timetable for his return. Randy McMichael will start, but despite the tight end role in San Diego’s offense, not worth picking up. He’s just a watch-list player, it is not a great fantasy tight end.

The “B” team …

Raiders QB Jason Campbell (foot) is more of a nagging injury that nothing serious and will be good to go. He remains a quarterback fantasy No. 2.

Buccaneers RB Earnest Graham (hamstring) is good to go this week and will continue its role of functions change of pace and third down. Their only value is in the big leagues.

Seahawks WR Mike Williams (concussion) is out this week. Ben Obomanu will get the start, but this is a great opportunity for rookie Doug Baldwin to see an increase in goals, making him a bye week or injury fill.

Panthers TE Jeremy Shockey (concussion) is good to go and is a No. 2 tight end, but you can play with him as a starter in the big leagues, because of byes and injuries.

Cardinals TE Todd Heap (hamstring) is questionable and a decision will be game time. It has been practiced this week and if not 100 percent that is not worth starting.

Colts QB Curtis Painter brought hope to the owners of the positions of the Colts another skill. He will start his second game and watch to see if you can show any improvement after two consecutive weeks, taking first team reps, probably for the first time in it. Kerry Collins (concussion) returned to practice, but he is No. 2 and the backup if anything is likely painter shows this week.

Chiefs RB Jackie Battle to see more details this week, so keep an eye on it, but does not guarantee a fit of fantasy or a truck yet.

Cardinals WR Early Doucet (hamstring) is good to go, but it’s a bench player, but you have to see. Someone has to step in and help relieve pressure on Larry Fitzgerald.

Patriots RB Danny Woodhead (ankle) is questionable, but has become a nonfactor, giving way to RB Stevan Ridley, drop it.

Falcons RB Jason Snelling (concussion) practiced this week and the game will be. The value falls Jacquizz Rodgers. Both are just backups and depth fantasy lists.

Bills RB CJ Spiller (knee) practiced on Friday and the game will be, but not worth a roster spot out of the big leagues. It belongs on your bench until he shows something.

Packers WR Donald Driver (shin) practiced on Friday and the game will be, but it’s just a break in the week or injury fill-in the major leagues since the torch has passed to Jordy Nelson.

Raiders WR Louis Murphy (groin) was limited in practice this week and is questionable.

Seahawks TE Zach Miller (knee, ankle) and is likely to play but has no fantasy value.
