Dick Cheney BookDick Cheney Book, Speaking to reporters ahead of a charity golf event in Dallas on Thursday, former U.S. President George W. Bush said he is not worried about the reaction of colleagues in the White House for the new memoir written by Dick Cheney, reports NBC.

The tell-all called in my time, went on sale Tuesday. In it, former U.S. Vice-President describes the various ways their colleagues in the Bush administration – including the President himself – was disappointed.

“I’m glad the members of my” family “are giving their version of what was to serve our country,” Bush said. “I did the same, I put my version out there. And historians over time to analyze our management and they will reach objective conclusions.”

In an interview with Reuters on Wednesday, former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice said Cheney was wrong to accuse her of cheating in the book Bush on nuclear diplomacy with North Korea.

“I was the president of the fully and completely informed about every entry and exit of the negotiations with the North Koreans,” Rice said. “You can talk about policy differences without suggesting that his colleague in any way mislead the president. You know, I do not like the attack on my integrity that implies.”

Rice also disputed a scene in the memoir where Cheney described as tears. “Certainly does not sound like me now, right?” Rice said.

On Sunday, Rice’s predecessor, former Secretary of State Colin Powell said Cheney’s book launches “cheap shots” to Bush administration officials. Powell disagreements with Cheney on Iraq and other issues were common before the book’s publication.

According to the Washington Post:

Powell questioned the account that Cheney suggested that the secretary of state was ejected late in the first Bush term. Cheney “has great merit for my resignation in 2004. Well, President Bush and I had always agreed that I would at the end of 2004,” said Powell. “I always intended to serve only one term.”

He also questioned Cheney’s suggestion that Powell had a tendency to conceal their views of Bush and instead issued outside the administration.

“The president knows that I said what I thought about all the issues of the day,” said Powell.

Rice declined to speculate on what Cheney may have misrepresented the facts. “I will not question the motives of the vice president because he is someone with whom I had a good relationship and that I had and still have, great respect,” he told Reuters.
