Courtney Love, Courtney Love is making not-so-flattering headlines again: this time, she’s getting evicted for allegedly destructive behavior.
The owner of Love’s 4-story, $27,000-per-month townhouse in New York City’s West Village tells Page Six she’s decided to take the grunge icon to
court for destroying the home’s decor — and setting a curtain on fire.

Among Donna Lyon complaints about her famous renter: Love, who’s been living there for 10 months, painted over and added wallpaper to the hand-painted walls without permission.

The lease stipulates that the interiors — designed by past owner Steven Gambrel, an interior designer — should be left untouched. According to Lyon, she’s also behind on her rent, owing $54,000 toward the annual rent of $324,000.

“Courtney has wallpapered and painted a large portion of the property without my consent,” said Lyon, who predicts it could take a year to restore projected $100,000 worth of damages. “I learned about this when I wanted to sell the house and had photographs taken. They sent me the brochure and I said, ‘This can’t be my property.’ I came to New York to see it and I was horrified by what she had done.”

In a strange sidenote, Lyon said Love burned her hands after a curtain in the master bedroom caught fire. (Apparently, a candle tipped over.)
