Coast Guard Helicopter Crash, The U.S. Coast Guard says one crewmember is dead and three others remain missing following a helicopter crash in Mobile Bay during a training mission. Some of the wreckage has been salvaged and has been brought to Brookley Field for examination.
The MH-65C helicopter was on a mission out of the Aviation Training Center in Mobile, Ala. The three missing are Coast Guard members.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.

– Two MH-65C helicopters and crews from Coast Guard Air Station New Orleans, La.;
– Two Response Boat-Small and crews from Coast Guard Station Dauphin Island;
– The Coast Guard Cutters Cobia and Stingray, homeported in Mobile;
– An HU-144 Ocean Sentry medium surveillance aircraft and crew from Coast Guard Aviation Training Center Mobile;
– Two 26-foot TANBs and crews from Sector Mobile;
– Alabama Marine Police;
– Alabama Marine Resources;
– Daphne Search and Rescue;
– Mobile County Sheriff’s Flotilla;
– North Baldwin Sheriff’s Search and Rescue;
– Bon Secoure Fire Department;
– Southwest Panhandle Search and Rescue;
– 32-foot landing craft Andelae;
– 41-foot M/V Solomon.
