Cleveland Browns Score, After one half of play at Cleveland Browns Stadium, the Jacksonville Jaguars and Cleveland Browns are tied at 7-7. The Jaguars got on the board first when Maurice Jones-Drew finished an impressive 18 play, 92 yard drive with a 6 yard touchdown run.

The drive took up nearly 10 minutes of game clock as the Jags took it the length of the field. Jones-Drew has already carried the ball 13 times for 54 yards.

The Browns evened the score later in the second quarter when Chris Ogbonnaya converted a one yard touchdown run. Ogbonnaya is filling in for the injured Montario Hardesty and Peyton HIllis.

The Jags have managed to control the third-stringer, holding him to less than two yards a carry so far. Aside from one big play, a Colt McCoy 51 yard pass to Jordan Norwood, the Jags defense has looked good against Cleveland’s anemic offense. Jacksonville will get the kick off to start the second half.

Cleveland Browns ScoreCleveland Browns Score, The Browns did a version of “The Comedy of Errors” on Sunday, but nobody laughed. Most of the 67,321 who watched the Browns lose to the Cincinnati Bengals, 27-17, Sunday in Cleveland Browns Stadium will probably want to mourn. His thoughts as he went home probably, “oh no, not again.”

The Browns have not won a game of the season since the 2004 season. They were favored to end that streak against the Bengals humble, but something seemed wrong from the beginning.

More like a team playing its first preseason game, the Browns did not do anything right in the early stages as they fell behind, 13-0. They were penalized six times in the first period, including misconduct in coach Pat Shurmur to accidentally shoot down an officer.

Browns punter Richmond McGee began what could become a terrible day for shanking a punt 20 yards to the Cleveland 41.

You must have the idea by now. This is not one that will make anyone remember the glory days of the 1960’s.

“Occasionally when you lose a game that makes you feel sick to your stomach, and this is definitely one of those games,” linebacker Scott Fujita said the Browns.

Shurmur was visibly upset as he held his press conference after the game. I was taken aback by the number of penalties (11 by 72 meters) and the inability of the offense to run properly.

“You start out and look what happened,” said Shurmur. “I mean you’ve made a season full of errors in the first quarter. No excuses. I do not care if you’re a rookie. I do not care if you’ve been at this for 12 years, and I do not care if this is his last game. You can not make mistakes, and I think there are a few unforced errors there. ”

The biggest mistake was the mental variety in the fourth quarter. On third and 11 to 41 of the Browns, the Bengals broke fast, which is to say that the work began before the Browns were established on the defensive. As cornerback Joe Haden was heading towards the left flank to cover the receiver AJ Green, Green was found down field.

Quarterback Bruce Gradkowski, who replaced injured starter Andy Dalton, stained green and lofted the ball in his direction. Green caught near the 10 and scored easily as the Bengals took a 20-17 lead with 4:28 remaining in the game.

“We were not prepared,” said Haden. “Everyone was fighting. We were all in the peloton, trying to get the game and we realized that everyone was already filled up.

“We were standing there waiting for the call. We were stuck and heard the screams, so he turned around and tried to run and catch up everyone was.”

Shurmur said the Bengals could have pulled a fast, and the fact Bengals, Marvin Lewis, coach did not want to discuss it in detail indicates that Shurmur might have a point. Under Shurmur, the Bengals changed personnel on site. According to the rules, referees should allow the defense time to adjust their offensive personnel changes.

“Yes, we broke fast,” said Shurmur. “I have to watch the video. There are rules that go along with that, so we’ll see.”

Green’s only concern was making the catch.

“It was one of the balls I’ve ever seen slow down,” said Green. “It was,” Come and get my hands on. “It was tough because I had to think about it.”

Browns cornerback Sheldon Brown played down the work. Brown looked at many other reasons why the Browns lost.

“We are talking about this game one,” said Brown. “It’s something we killed others. That’s what this game is crazy. Always identify a work, if you do not tell the true story of the game.”

The first quarter, said most of the story. After McGee cane, the Bengals marched 35 yards to score a field goal from 24 yards Nugent.

The Browns committed three penalties on the ensuing possession. McGee got off a punt of 48 yards, but Brandon Tate had a 15-yard return to the ‘Browns 41. The Bengals put together a seven-play drive that culminated with a touchdown pass of 2 yards to Dalton, who injured his right hand late in the second quarter, Jermaine Gresham that extended the lead to 10-0.

Left Cincinnati 13-0 with a field goal from 47 yards early in the second quarter Nugent.

They need a boost, he got the Browns Joshua Cribbs returns. Taking Nugent kick off near the back of the end zone, Cribbs returned it 51 yards for the Browns. 43.

The return brought life to the fans and energized the Browns’ offense dormant. It took only four plays for 57 yards in March. Quarterback Colt McCoy, who was 19-of-40 for 213 yards, connected with tight end Ben Watson on a fielder’s 34-yard touchdown.

On their next possession the Browns were 90 yards in nine plays to score with a two-yard pass from McCoy to tight end Evan Moore. Phil Dawson point after kick gave the Browns a 14-13 lead that stood at halftime.

At that moment it seemed that the Browns were willing to do more damage offensively.

“I really felt like we were doing some good things. We were on top of it,” said McCoy. “I knew what to do, and we were playing fast. Then, for whatever reason, type of braking and lost there. You can not do that.”

The Browns extended their lead to 17-13 in the third quarter with a field goal from 20 yards Dawson. After that there were few signs of life on offense. After Green’s touchdown, the Bengals put the game away on a 39-yard touchdown with 1:49 to Cedric Benson in the fourth quarter remaining.

“Somehow I get to the locker room with a little momentum, the defense get a stop for us, we have the ball back and score,” said McCoy. “At that time a good team will find their way back to the end zone.’re Home, and could not get anything going.”
