Curtis Grant, Linebacker Grant Curtis has announced he will sign with Ohio State instead of Florida, North Carolina and Virginia. ESPN recruitment subsidy rates as No. 3 of the nation and the No. 46 linebacker prospect overall. Ohio State now has seven ESPNU 150 prospects, a record in the Big Ten. Grant appeared headed to Florida a few months ago, but the resignation Urban Meyer put Ohio State at the head of his list. He chose Ohio State over Florida, North Carolina and Virginia. Once considered Florida to lose, re-resignation of Urban Meyer led Ohio State to jump back into the recruitment of Grant…, which obviously proved to be a success for the Buckeyes.

Listed at 6’3? And 215 pounds Grant has a size of prototype and could end up one of the three LB positions at Ohio State. Wherever he lands, Grant has the talent and potential to be a very good defender … perhaps the next great LB for the Silver Bullets.

It can have an immediate impact on special teams in 2011, and if he keeps his head on his shoulders and continued to work hard, it will find its way onto the field in coming sooner rather than later.

Ohio State has a fantastic story with linebackers recently, and adding one of the best countries in their recruiting class of 2011 will help strengthen this legacy: Richmond, Virginia linebacker Grant Curtis committed to the Buckeyes.
