Maurice Jones DrewMaurice Jones Drew, In one night, on a big stage, the Jacksonville Jaguars did everything better than the Baltimore Ravens.
Maurice Jones-Drew rushed for 105 yards against the defense in the NFL better career, Josh Scobee kicked four field goals and the Jaguars snapped a five-game slide with a 12-7 victory over the Ravens on Monday night.

Upon entering the national spotlight for a few hours, the Jaguars used their best defensive effort in five years to stop Ray Rice, Joe Flacco and company

Jacksonville (2-5) did not allow a first down until 5:26 mark in the third quarter, a mixture of strong defense and inept offense. Flacco the Ravens finally arrived (4-2) in scoring with a little over two minutes left. That ended a 90-yard drive with a touchdown pass to Anquan Boldin five yards.

The Ravens did not recover an onside kick when the ball bounced inches below the required ranges from 10 yards. Scobee followed with his third field goal of at least 50 meters.

Baltimore had one last possession, but so tight, Jacksonville’s defense was great. Drew Coleman stood before Ed Dickson and intercepted a pass from Flacco late.

The Ravens finished with 146 total yards. The Jaguars had 205.

The Jaguars set a franchise record by allowing only 16 yards in the first half, including the approval of 1 yard for Flacco, who was under relentless pressure of the night.

Baltimore finally got a first down on their game number 28 of the game when Rice broke a run of 12 yards. That was only the second game over 10 yards for the Ravens, despite receiving two losses over the first time in the unit. Dwight Lowery ended when Flacco fired and 52-yard field goal by Billy Cundiff was right across.

The teams combined for 0-for-16 on third down conversions in the first half. The Jaguars started the third quarter with six attempts, only to the defense of the Ravens to harden after another error.

The Ravens stopped in Jacksonville, Brendon Ayanbadejo, but was called by a personal foul and ejected from the game when he punched Whimper guy in the mask after the play. That gave the Jaguars a first and goal from the 3, but Blaine Gabbert could not complete two passes in the end zone and Scobee kicked a field goal from 22 yards.

Scobee, who extended his franchise record with a field goal for 15 straight game, before a pair kicked field goals of 54 yards.

The Ravens had 10 possessions through three quarters – eight punts, a missed field goal and a fumble by Rice in the third quarter. The first time I came to Jacksonville territory midway through the second quarter, went back 33 yards. Michael Oher was called for holding twice and Flacco completed two passes on both occasions lost meters.

In a move that sums up the night in Baltimore, Jeremy Mincey Flacco pass knocked down. Flacco caught the ball and ran to the left until it was thrown for a loss of 8 yards.

Record of previous Jaguars fewest yards allowed in a half was 33 against the Cleveland Browns in 2000. The six points were the fewest scored in the first half on a Monday night as the Ravens and Denver Broncos were tied at 3-3 on October 9, 2006.

Jacksonville was not much better on offense, however, was not a surprise. The Jaguars are the last in the NFL in offense, the only hope comes from Jones-Drew. He carried 30 times, most of them right in the center of the venerable defense of Baltimore.

Gabbert completed nine of 20 passes for 93 yards.

Flacco was 21-of-38 for 137 yards. Rice ran eight times for 28 yards.

Baltimore star was Sam Koch, who cleared nine times for an average of 52.2 yards.
