Christie Brinkley, Christie Brinkley (born February 2, 1954) is an American model and actress best known for her three consecutive appearances on the cover of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue in the late 1970s and early 1980s, for her long-running contract with CoverGirl, the longest ever of any model in history, and for her marriage to musician Billy Joel.

Brinkley has also worked as an illustrator, photographer, writer, and designer, and as an activist for human and animal rights and the environment.

Her financial holdings were worth in 2008 an estimated USD $80 million, primarily as the owner of real estate, much of it in the Hamptons.

The former model open in a new interview with British newspaper The Telegraph about her previous marriages and how he realized that he would never walk down the aisle again.

“Now I can say unequivocally that she would never marry again. There is absolutely no reason to. I’ve learned in my divorce that marriage is ridiculous,” said the newspaper when asked about their previous marriages. “You take a vote, but do not get brownie points to its promise and the other person does not.”

“The court recognizes that. It’s like, ‘Okay now, let’s see how we distribute to children.” Well, obviously, it did not break the votes should be the role model. But no, “he said.

Brinkley has married four times, the artist Jean-François Allaux, Billy Joel, real estate developer Richard Taubman, and more recently with architect Peter Cook, Halsey. Cook and Brinkley finalized her divorce in October 2008.

He also admits that she called her 1998 perfume, Creed, after her relationship with her third husband, Richard Taubman. The former model says that the name of the perfume Believe “because he still believes in love.”

“I believe in true love and I believe in happy endings. I think. My perfume called Believe,” he said. “And then it was husband number four.”

If I had to name another perfume after her relationship with Cook, Brinkley said he would be called “sucks.”

Brinkley was set to make its debut this week in west London theater district ending in “Chicago” as Roxie Heart, a role to play on Broadway earlier this year. However, according to Broadway.com, Brinkley was forced to postpone her concert because her mother was admitted to hospital over the weekend to undergo emergency surgery.

Brinkley is one of the many celebrities who have played Roxie in the musical success as Brooke Shields, Marilu Henner, Ashlee Simpson, Michelle Williams and Melanie Griffith.

The 57-year-old made her acting debut in 1983 in “National Lampoon’s Vacation” with Chevy Chase. She also appeared in its 1997 sequel, “Vegas Vacation.”

She tells The Telegraph that he has not given up on finding love completely. “You have to believe they are truly compassionate, friendly people, great ones. Who also happen to be fun,” she said. “It is becoming more and am a little more cautious, but I look to my parents, they have been together for centuries and are still madly in love.”
