Chris Colfer & 'Glee'Chris Colfer & ‘Glee’, Not surprisingly, Chris Colfer earned another nomination for his portrayal of Kurt Glee, but it was actually as great news for the young actor. “I was very, very nervous,” Colfer, who is asleep now, when the call from his nod woke him up. He will compete for the statue against Ty Burrell, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Ed O’Neill and Eric Stonestreet Modern Family, and Jon Cryer Two and a Half Men.

“There were rumors that he might be nominated again, but I thought it would be,” Colfer told EW. “It was a surprise. I think there’s so much anxiety that comes with the awards and nominations, and focuses on all evil. The category is so, so hard, so selective that I do not think I have another candidate.”

It seems that the window of his attention to Glee Emmy is closing rapidly: It was revealed that Colfer, along with co-stars Lea Michele and Cory Monteith, will leave the hit Fox comedy drama at the end of the third season. The cast change was not a total surprise, as creator Ryan Murphy said last month it planned to let the seniors graduate this fall McKinley High in May.

“It had to happen sooner or later,” said Colfer. Ironically, the actor did not know how far your character was the first time he joined the show. “I always assumed that Kurt was very young in the original scripts. I knew he was 16, but I did not know to what degree. Then, when he announced he was leaving, I was like, ‘I think it’s our last year next year! ”

Colfer knows it’s a disappointment for the fans – that’s why he’s hoping to reappear at McKinley from time to time. (It was confirmed that it is not signed as a regular series of the season beyond 2011-12). “I’d love to get a Farrah Fawcett in Charlie’s Angels and return each episode 10,” he said. “I’d be the recurrent unpleasant star!”
