Chicago To Mackinac RaceChicago To Mackinac Race, U.S. Coast Guard has released an alert this morning are searching for two men of the crew of a racing boat trip from Chicago to Mackinac after his ship sinks. Rescue teams are at the place where the ship sank. Race is a famous, sponsored by the Chicago Yacht Club. This is the navigation of harbors in Chicago to Mackinac Island. The Great Lakes are known for rapidly changing weather and the boat capsizing, storms brew size suddenly. This morning a line of severe weather passed over Lake Michigan and may have contributed to the accident.

According to press reports, at least eight people in the boat WingNuts were sent into the water. The Coast Guard and rescue teams arrived and were able to rescue six crewmembers. So far, the names of the missing crewmembers have not been released.

The Coast Guard said the press was notified at 11:40 pm on Sunday night radio crewmembers on board the distressed vessel. He also received calls from other ships, including ship Sociable. The WingNuts is 25 feet long. The sociable was actually the first ship in place and they were able to pull the six-crew members out of water.

The Coast Guard believes the crews members still have not recovered were in the water with life jackets. The WingNuts was actually from Saginaw, Michigan. Had a crew of eight men, including one from the Chicago area.

The storms that raced through the area are believed to have caused the capisizing. The waves in the area grew from 4 to 6 feet during the height of the storm. The water temperature is believed to have been about 70 degrees. As such, the Coast Guard and rescue are not giving the hope that it is believed that the crew could stay alive in the water for hours.

The Chicago to Mackinac race is a famous and has had a history of accidents in the unpredictable weather of Lake Michigan. The race is over 333 miles and it starts right next to Navy Pier. The race ends at Mackinac Island in Michigan. It is the oldest breed of fresh water in the world.
