Chicago Power OutageChicago Power Outage, More than 600,000 people are without electricity during the heat of summer in Chicago due to a severe thunderstorm that brought down power lines throughout the state. Local power company ComEd assures customers they are doing everything possible to solve problems.

To address concerns of residents faster, are harnessing the power of social media – in particular Twitter account @ ComEd – to answer questions asked concerned citizen and faster.

Of course, rather than having calmed their fears, most residents are tweeting their complaints, demands and requests to get electricity to their areas. Today is 80 degrees F with humidity of 72 percent. Most people were concerned about the elderly residents and food spoiling. Unfortunately for ComEd, this is not the first time the company has left the Chicago area residents were without electricity, and has become a major concern in many local town hall meetings.

ComEd Twitter account is full of answers trying to make residents feel as if someone was listening. However, many areas of energy, the truth is that it will take some time before power is restored to everyone.

If you are without power, ComEd encourages you to call 1800-Edison1 and report the incident. Twitter can also try them for advice, but only official calls to the main account of cuts will definitely be considered.
