Chemical CompanyChemical Company, LOCOG has found a sponsor for wrapping the Olympic Stadium is the centerpiece of the 2012 Games will end as planned.

There were fears the shape of the skeleton of the stadium remain, but Dow Chemical Company has agreed to produce a sustainable wrap, tissue structure surrounding the duration of the Olympics and Paralympics.

The coat is composed of 336 individual panels – each about 25 meters high and 2.5 m wide – that worldwide Olympic partner Dow then reused after the Games.

“The stadium will be spectacular at the Olympics and the wrapper is the icing on the cake,” said Chairman of the LOCOG Sebastian Coe.

“I am delighted that Dow as one of the newest partners worldwide Olympic movement is provided and this is important to do so in a sustainable manner.”

The coat was part of the original stadium design, but was shelved as part of plans to save money.

“In the fall last comprehensive review of spending, the government could see the benefits of the envelope, but I feel that the taxpayer should pay for it as we looked to save through the project,” said sports minister Hugh Robertson.

“But I’m delighted that a company in the private sector has taken the opportunity to become a main feature of the Olympic Stadium.”

It is understood that although the body of LOCOG and the Olympic Games have strict rules governing to do with local sponsorship, hence the name change from The O2 for the duration of the Games, Dow will be able to reproduce your logo distinctive because it is a red diamond sponsor of the World Olympic movement.
