Cee Lo Green, The singer-songwriter behind the Grammy-winning 2010 single “Forget You” and the 2006 hit “Crazy” is settling down – at least for a few months – in a Las Vegas residency.

Cee Lo Green says his semi-permanent show, “Loberace,” will launch Aug. 29 at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino on the Las Vegas Strip, and run at least through the end of the year.

“The production will combine Cee Lo’s flamboyant sense of style and over-the-top creativity,” producers said in a statement, adding that the show “will be as inspired and visually alive as Cee Lo Green.”

Organizers say the show will include a musical journey through time, with tributes to Price and the Rolling Stones. “Mind-twisting magic and sexified showgirls” are also on tap.

The 37-year-old Green, known for his soulful voice and extravagant costumes, is a coach on the NBC show “The Voice.” His break came in the mid-1990s in the southern rap scene, but has evolved to include Gnarls Barkley, a collaboration between him and DJ-producer Danger Mouse, and his 2010 solo album “The Lady Killer.”

The 28 shows through the end of December are scheduled for late nights, and some follow Planet Hollywood’s “Peepshow” production in the 1,400-seat theatre.

Green told the Las Vegas Review-Journal he sees himself continuing Sin City entertainment tradition.

Cee Lo GreenCee Lo Green, Cee Lo Green has defended the change in lyrics of John Lennon’s song “Imagine” from “And no religion, too” to “And all religion’s true,” while performing in Times Square on New Year’s Eve. ennon fans sharply criticized Green for the change, and he took to his twitter account to counter the criticism.

“I was trying to say a world were u could believe what u wanted that’s all,” the New York Daily News quoted his tweet. After further criticism he deleted the tweet. Green said that by making the change he had added an endorsement of religion to John Lennon’s “Imagine” out of “peace and love and unity,” not disrespect.

However, when the topic came up during a panel on “The Voice,” the NBC show on which he is a judge, fellow panelist Christina Aguilera jumped in and said, “No, no, no, we’re here to talk about the show.”

But, Green acknowledged the question, repeated his disclaimer and brought the subject back to the show, but not before declaring that he “meant no disrespect to anyone, including John Lennon.

Cee Lo Green Grammy

Cee Lo Green Grammy, If true fantasy Grammy Awards show is becoming one long music video stars on Sunday night gave him another good hard push in that direction. If the National Academy of Arts and Sciences is not interrupted issues at hand a dozen of those silly prices, the show could play as a 210-minute mashup. Think “Glee” on a barrel of FourLoko. Musically, this is not how you create memories. Technically, however, it was impressive. (CBS) Cee Lo Green’s performance at the Grammy Awards Sunday night that it had all – pastel colors, gliittery headdresses, feathers, Muppets and a space-age movie star vamping.

With a chorus of Muppets and other puppet roundabout in the background, green, trimmed with feathers on the keyboard, performed his hit “You Forget” with the help of Oscar-winning Gwyneth Paltrow. The climax came when Paltrow, wearing a simple black suit stood out among the green peacock feathers, danced over the piano for money. She even slipped through the stomach, kicks up its heels. This is not the first time the “strong country” actress has collaborated with the “Lady Killer” singer. The two performed “You forget, cleaned up version of” F — You “, January 15 on” Saturday Night Live.
It got to the point where I just watch most of the time these things because of Twitter. Do not be cynical, and I’m sure they are very nice people, but Lady Antebellum? Something called Lady Antebellum won four Grammy Awards. Grammys country and not just weird, and these guys took the song and album of the year. And there was a very real risk that they would win Album of the year and, before Arcade Fire intervened and the music blogosphere has lost his mind. Today will be a good day to read Hipster Runoff.
Performance-wise, all things considered correct. Bob Dylan, Mick Jagger, Barbra Streisand and all rose from the dead to be carried out and the guy who is in charge of the Grammys that speaks each year. This time, he had a backup tape, including Best New Artist Esperanza Spalding. I almost feel left I heard of her before this, after reading her New Yorker profile a while.

Otherwise: Katy Perry? Decent! Justin Bieber and Usher? You cannot be said that you did not enjoy at least a little. Especially the intro just-this-side-of-creepy spoken in which Justin has valiantly tried to stop her voice from cracking and it was revealed that Justin Usher picked up in a parking lot. Oh my God, and we also had Jaden Smith (though obviously not Willow) and ninjas.

CBS missed an Eminem F-bombs while he played “Love the Way You Lie” with Rihanna at the Grammys Sunday night. See above.

Most of his expletives were bleeped on. CBS did catch Lady Gaga, saying “Holy sht!” when she accepted her award for The Monster Fame. Cee-Lo Green has also been bleeped during her duet of “You Forget” with Gwyneth Paltrow and the Muppets.
