Cebu PacificCebu Pacific, Cebu Pacific (CEB) is expanding its operations in China after reaching a 30% growth in China mainland passengers in the 3rd quarter (Q3) this year over the same period in 2010.

Already, the Board announced plans to increase flights to Beijing after his first year of operations on September 5. The carrier will have four hours of weekly service from Manila-Beijing-Manila from January 7, 2012 to meet demand.

At present, the Board flies three times a week to Beijing and Guangzhou and Shanghai every day. Its major operations in China extends to daily flights between Manila and Taipei, up to 6 daily flights to Hong Kong from Manila, Clark and Cebu, and 11 weekly flights to Macau from Manila and Clark.

“China is a growth area for the next meeting,” said Board Vice President Marketing and Distribution Candice Iyog. “We already serve northern and southern China with our existing routes, but additional connectivity between our two countries only benefit tourism and trade.”

“The Philippines is the closest tropical destination to China. This is evident from the influx of tourists to Boracay and some of our beach breaks,” he said. “Many of the companies in the Philippines with their source materials in China. We see great potential for growth as we take delivery of more aircraft.”

Meanwhile, the Board has reduced the rates of China and Taipei by up to 63% on the sale of seat 21 to October 23, 2011 or until seats last.

To travel from January 1 to March 31, 2012, passengers can purchase P1, 488 seats from Manila to Beijing, Guangzhou, Shanghai and Taipei. The Board currently flies three times a week to Beijing and Guangzhou, and every day to Shanghai and Taipei.

Meanwhile, for those who have more immediate plans to travel this December 1-31, 2011, P1, 888 seats are also available from Manila to Beijing, Guangzhou, Shanghai and Taipei.

The airline is also holding a sale on select internal seat for travel from December 1, 2011 hasta February 29, 2012, offering from Cebu to Dumaguete P388, P488 from Cebu to Pagadian, Surigao, Ozamiz, and Dipolog, Butuan from Cebu to P588 and from Manila to Cebu, Dumaguete and Roxas.
