Cal Ripken World SeriesCal Ripken World Series, Raynham is playing his new style of baseball, winning their second game in the whole game of the Cal Ripken World Series Major/60 against Buchanan, California, 2-0, Sunday night.

Raynham won in large part because of the quality of defense that played the whole game. Wensley Zack stood out in particular for Raynham, comes with many timely plays on defense, earning him the honor of being named player of the match.

A strong presence from the mound was also present in Raynham, as both Gallagher and James Blake both Morin threw three scoreless innings each.

After losing their first game of billiards in the tournament, Raynham seems to have found its groove again. The victory over Buchanan was second on the team in a row, after defeating Benton, Arkansas, on Saturday, 9-6. Raynham record stands at 2-1 in pool play, with the game coming up itsfourth and last Tuesday night before the start of the qualifying round of the tournament.

Rayhnam coach Eric Wensley, feels his team is finally back on track after defeat in the opening match.

“When we got here, I think I was a little nervous the first game, but after a few games under our belt we are back to playing our type of ball and firing on all cylinders.”

The next game wills Rayhnam Tuesday at 3 pm ET against Bakersfield, Calif. After that, Raynham will have little time to prepare, as the second round will begin Wednesday.
